SP-500 PK-6b– MECHANICAL ENGINEERS COMMENTS ON INSPECTION

INSTALLATION OF CHW PIPE

Installation of Chilled water piping located at Departure level Mechanical Plant room-M015 is
inspected with the following comments:-

1. The Installation carried out as per attached red marks drawings.

2. Install missing rigid supports for chilled water pipes as marked on drawings.

3. All valve packages for FCU’s, AHU and are excluded from this IR. Contractor to
submit separate IRs for Engineer’s inspection / approval.

4. Thermo well provision in tee connection is not accepted and to be provide with
separate fittings.

5. Contractor to ensure all valves installed at site to have proper access for future
operation and maintenance, And installed floor supports/pipe are not obstructing the
access.

6. All valves installed above 2.4 meter need to rotate at 45 degree and provide chain for
operation.

7. Provide missing GI sleeves for pipes crossing walls and provide fire stop application.

8. Install all missing pressure gauges, thermometer, drain valves, air-vents.

9. Provide missing insulation with joints left open for witnessing pressure test

10. Cladding work to be done after insulation of CHW pipe..

11. Paint all cut edges of angle & threaded rod supports.

12. Pressure test to be done and submit for inspection.

13. Provide missing ID labels with directional arrows.

14. Contractor shall be fully responsible in coordinating with all other services as this
inspection was carried out in absence of approved CSD drawings. There for any
changes that may be done to the existing piping due to clashes should be retested
(Hydrostatic) and submitted for Engineer’s approval.
