1. What kind of clothes do you usually wear?

I usually wear casual clothes like T-shirts and jeans, because casual clothes are
comfortable and suitable for school.

when I need them, or when I see something I like and have the money to buy it.

Sample Answer to PART 2

I’m going to talk about psychology. I think it’s a really fascinating field of science that I’d love to learn
more about. Psychology is basically the study of the human mind. It tries to figure out why we do
what we do. It’s all about behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes.
I first learned about psychology in a first-year university course. I had to take the course for my
program requirement. It wasn’t what I was there to study, but I needed at least one science course. I
heard that psychology was a breeze so I decided to check it out.
It was an intro course, so it wasn’t super hard. It was actually super interesting. I learned about how
people form relationships, judge others, and make decisions. It definitely made me feel like I
understood myself, and even others, a lot better. To understand the concepts better, I joined a study
group and we went over the textbook every week. It made a world of difference when it came to
memorizing all the different terms. Now, I feel like I have a pretty solid grasp of psychology basics.
I think what makes psychology so interesting is how you can apply it in real life. You learn what makes
people tick, which helps you know more about them. And the funny thing is that you can end up
predicting people’s behaviors.

Sample Answer to PART 3

1. What’s the best invention in the past one hundred years?
I think it’s the portable cellphone. It helps humans advance and become connected. Cellphones
are like mini computers right in our pockets. As technology advances, humans become more
connected through a wide network. I also really like how you can personalize cellphones with
programming. So I think cellphone is the greatest invention of modern times.

2. What’s the influence of science on human life?

Well, science has majorly impacted human life in the past few centuries. It’s really important to
modern civilization. Science helps us understand the universe better. And the development of
science has changed humans’ lifestyle. People from the past would think we live in paradise if
they could see the world today.

3. What can individuals do for scientific research?

I believe everyone can make new discoveries and research. Individuals have so much power.
Ordinary people can take part in some scientific research as volunteers. For example, studying
the effectiveness of a vaccine requires many people to participate in clinical trials.
