OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

A. General

The general objective of this study is to develop and implement

an effective and efficient Tinandayagan Falls and Resort Online

Reservation and Management System that will offer a better solution

and help the management in terms of making a fast and easy

reservation, billing, reporting and other operations in the resort.

B. Specific

➢ To provide a modern and usable reservation system to the management

of Tinandayagan Falls and Resort.

➢ To make an accessible system for reservation and provide a convenience

to their valued customer thus increasing customer satisfaction,

employee productivity and business profit.

➢ To lessen the workload of the admin in the Tinandayagan Falls and

Resort.

➢ To generate a quick, organized and accurate management reports.

Scope and Delimitation

This study conducted by the researchers offers an effective and efficient

reservation and management system for the Tinandayagan Falls and Resort

located at Palong, Libmanan, Camarines Sur. The users of this system are the

administrator, owner, and guest who want to reserve or book in the said resort.

It includes the main purpose which is the reservation or booking process for

the guest, recording, updating, and searching data, monitoring reservations

and generating reports, and also the information about the services at

Tinandayagan Falls and Resort. This system also covers the promos,

information, and the cancellation or changing of reservations. Other aspects

like online payment transactions and customer bills are not included.

Methodology

In order to gather the necessary information and apply the necessary

procedures in conducting this study, researchers employ descriptive methods.

The researchers used the method to understand and analyse the existing

system of Tinandayagan Falls and Resort Online Reservation and Management

System, which helps more in developing the study.

Major Findings

The researcher's key findings from this study are as follows:

1. The Tinandayagan Falls and Resort management uses a manual

reservation system to accommodate customers or guests.

2. The existing system encounters difficulty in handling, monitoring and

checking reservations.

3. The Tinandayagan Falls and Resort encounter unintentional errors or

mistakes when it comes to handling details that will end up in

redundancy and inconsistency of data using the existing system during

the reservation and reporting process.

4. The manual system used by the resort is slow and time-consuming.

5. The Tinandayagan Falls and Resort face difficulties when it comes to

computation during generating reports.

6. The manual system used by the resort is dependent on individuals who

are assigned to the resort and it requires a lot of requirements for the

management to continuously train staff to keep them following the

correct steps.

7. The manual system used by the Tinandayagan Falls and Resort can also

affect customer services wherein guest or customers has a lot of queries

and it is hard to respond quickly to the information needed.

Conclusion

Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn

within the limitation and scope defined in the study.

Researchers have taken various steps and efforts to make the study

more understandable and reliable. The reservation process in the resort is not

easy with the use of the existing system. During observations in the existing

system, the researchers found out that the resort faces a lot of problems during

reservation. So, the researchers build the idea of developing a system since

nowadays technology become usable and people are taking the advantage of

modernization where systems are on trend and helpful especially in business.

Researchers proposed to develop the Online Reservation and Management

System that can be used by the management to enhance the resort’s current

reservation process. Moreover, in order to speed up and easily manage other

resort transactions, monitor and update data and generate reports,

implementing the said system is necessary. This system is intended not only to

increase profits for the business but also to provide better service to its valued

customers.

Recommendations

The researchers made the following recommendations, as follows:

➢ The researchers recommend implementing the proposed so that resort

reservation transactions can be done and managed quickly and easily.

➢ Researchers suggest including online payment with a variety of payment

methods upon reservation for a fast and convenient billing process for

customers.

➢ Researchers encouraged system maintenance in order to satisfy the

needs of the business in the future and make it more updated and

functional.
