Abstract:
Staffs of library handles a tedious task which includes sorting, lending, returning, tagging, eyeing of books and so on. In addition to
these, library users encounter problems for finding, borrowing, localizing, renewing the borrowing, queuing, and so on. This paper
propose a smart library manangement system based on an RFID technology which overcomes all these types of obstacles. Cost of
modenisation significancy can be reduced by using low cost passive tags in libraries. Usage of such, integrating RFID into library
management system makes both the library users and staffs take easy, smart, convenient, and practical. A library has one of the
most important role in educational organization. Our project deals with implemending a library management system which could
replace the existing management system by a smart and useful management system .There are many reasons for the urge of this
particular project, which are:
1. Loss a lot of information about the books in the library
2. Difficulty in listing down the details of the library transactions due to a slow system
3. Difficulty in caring out the updates of library
Implementation of this particular project overcomes problems like these, which is called to be “Smart Library Management System”

In today's scenario we have enormous information to store. And 7.) For payment of fine the application will be useful
if these information are stored manually then we require more
materials like sheets, pens and more labour work, so to ignore To make the library completely smart we require
these issues we all are having technology to store the
information. But some part of it is done manually also. If we 1.) IOT based notice board - for updating the students with any

result, lot of wastage of time takes place. 3.) Source of electricity will be solar energy

And here comes the role of smart library, where the whole room
itself will allow us to do as we want it to, i.e all the inputs which
are being given inside the library should be controlled
electronically. The sensors will help to take the inputs and
database will get updated automatically. And an android
application will be there to help out students with searching the
books. The application will also consist other details of students
, like when he/she have taken or returned the book. And will be
easy for the students to find out whether we have the same book
present inside the library which were recommended by our
teachers. From searching the book to paying the fee all the
facilities will be on our finger tips. And this will be a new
normal as we all are going through this drastic covid-19 season.

level by allowing tags to be read without line of sight and,
The project is being divided into 2 objectives depending on the type of rfid, having a read range between a few

Why the project is unique? From the project we conclude that we could design a library
which is smart fast and useful after all which requires less labor
Apart from other smart library project this project enables the requirement as the transactionsis to be designed electronically.
