II. Student Activity

One of the proposed activities of Loctugan Integrated Farm School is to plant different seeds in
the school nursery garden. Suppose you are going to plot the different seeds in a rectangular
plant box and your adviser instructed you to plot it first using a Cartesian plane. Draw a
Cartesian plane, and given the points, plot and label the following.
 Solve the problem using Venn diagram
Problem:
A survey was conducted among members of an extended family on the ice cream flavor
they liked. It was found out that the mother, sister, brother, uncle, and baby liked
chocolate, the grand father, aunt, father, brother and baby liked mango, and the
grand mother, father, mother, and baby like strawberry. Draw and represent the set
using venn diagram and answer the questions that follow.

3. How many like Mango flavor?
4. Who are they?
5. How many more like chocolate then mango but not strawberry ?
6. Who are they?
7. How many like Strawberry flavor?
8. Who are they?

12. Who are they?
13. How many like all three flavors?
