Our Oceans Matter

he oceans take up 70% of our world, they give us 70 - 80% of our
oxygen and we have only explored 5% of them. There are more than
1 million different species in the oceans with many more to be
discovered. The ocean is home to 94% of the life on earth. It provides us with
food jobs entertainment and sailing!

espite all this we treat this mass of salt water with no care at all. There
are over 5.2 trillion pieces of plastic in the ocean and growing. Trapped
by marine debris (such as mesh, wire, old rope and nets) animals and
birds have been found during a recent international coastal cleanup. Because
of plastic pollution 700 different species are believed to be severely threatened

But there is a way to help, and everybody needs to chime in to make it work.
See by using our things again and again we can help our ocean. What is even
more effective is REFUSING to use things like Plastic straws or Plastic water
bottles. We already know these things so know we have to put it into action.
So REFUSE to use on use plastics and make a difference in our ocean!
