In this lesson the student will work with the intern to write, name, and model
mixed numbers and fractions.

represented by a model; b) represent fractions and mixed numbers with

Introduction/Hook
1. Small groups (one group with a teacher, one group on carpet with a
Instructional worksheet , and one group on seesaw with an intern.)
2. On seesaw students practied turning an improper fraction to a whole
Activities & number fraction and also showing the understanding by shading in
Strategies shapes.

Closure Activity Seesaw assignment with small groups.

Assessments Informal, the teacher goes back to the whole group and answers each question
