7. In a game, the player first places a chess piece in ‘START’ as the figure shows. Then the
player randomly selected a direction from ‘Up’, ‘Left’ or ‘Right’ for two rounds. The player
can get the reward marked on the final position as the figure shows. For example, if the player
selected ‘Left’ for the first round and ‘Up’ for the second round, the score rewarded will

9. A factory employs packaging and technical workers. All workers in the same department have

equal salary and the original salary of a technical worker is 50% higher than the salary of a

packaging worker. The number of packaging and technical workers is in the ratio of 7 : 3.

The owner of the factory raises the salary of packaging workers for 10% and reduces the salary

of the technical workers for 20%. After the scheme, 10% of technical workers move to the

packaging department. Find the percentage change on the total expenditure of salary of the 2

departments. (10 marks)
