3. Scope of Work

General Scope:

The Bidder is expected to fulfill the scope of work as below but not limited to the following:

i. Scope of this proposal is to appoint bidder/s who will Supply and Commission the required equipment as per
Equipment technical specification provided in Attachment 1. Warranty /Guarantee shall be committed by
bidder for 24 months from date of delivery in Duqm or 12 months after completion of commissioning,
whichever occur later.
ii. Bidder shall select equipment as listed in Attachment 1 in consultation with ADC (Asyad Drydock Company).
iii. Bidder shall supply the equipment from the maker list, as mentioned in Attachment 2. In the event that
bidder is not able to comply with the proposed Maker List as mentioned in Attachment 2, bidder shall provide
necessary technical justification. All specification variation shall be approved by ADC and Vessel Owner.
iv. Bidder shall directly liaise with ADC appointed Design and Engineering Company to finalize the further
technical details of the package items and technical evaluation matrix, prior order is placed to OEM by the
bidder. All technical correspondences with ADC appointed Design and Engineering Company shall be copied
to ADC representative. Commercial information shall be shared only with ADC Supply Chain.
v. Bidder shall identify all required material/ accessories which may be required by the OEM but not included
in their scope of supply and specify to the ADC appointed Design and Engineering Company in order that
associated P&IDs are updated and supply of those material/ accessories is arranged. Bidder shall finalize the
scope for such materials/ accessories in consultation with ADC appointed Design and Engineering Company
and include in the Technical Evaluation Matrix. Bidder shall obtain formal approval from ADC prior
procurement of such material/ accessories.
vi. Bidder shall arrange all required material / accessories (such as foundation bolts, flexible hoses, couplings,
gauges, meters etc.) for installation of equipment which are not included in scope of supply by OEM.
vii. Bidder shall arrange required Commissioning Engineers from OEM which may be essential for the validity of
the guarantee of respective equipment. For purposes of guidance, ADC shall provide a list of equipment
which may require Commissioning Engineer to attend (refer Attachment 1). Bidder shall liaise with OEM
Service Engineer & ADC Production Team for successful commissioning and sea trials to the satisfaction of
Ship Owner and ADC. Protocols of Commissioning and Trials to be provided by Bidder. Bidder shall ensure
supply of ‘as fitted’ drawings including wiring & termination drawings incorporating changes made if any
during HAT/SAT.
viii. Bidder shall supply necessary Certificates, Drawings, Installation Manuals, Operation and Maintenance
Manuals and Workshop manuals for all supplied equipment / items in line with the requirements and also as
indicated in Attachment 1.
ix. Bidder shall commit to arrange the delivery and commission of all the equipment in Duqm, Oman.
x. Bidder shall ensure that delivery of items will be progressively began from date of award until maximum 8
months for long lead items.
xi. Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) / Site Acceptance Test (SAT) including cost of 3rd party inspector such as BV
class surveyor shall be included as compulsory obligation of Bidder. Bidder shall ensure supply of valid
certificates including type approval certificates and for the applicable items of the package.

xii. Spare Parts as applicable to be submitted with the list and quotation, for commissioning and 1-year
operation. Spares as per Attachement-3 to be provided.
xiii. 1st Fill Oil including Lube Oil to be included in Bidder’s scope and quotation.
xiv. Bidder shall submit schedule/timeline for delivery of the equipment.
xv. In the event that the supplied equipment is not put in use/operation prior to the expiry of OEM provided
warranty, provision for extension of warranty shall be indicated with optional cost, in order that the
necessary warranty can be extended to the vessel owner.
xvi. All equipment shall be asbestos free and declarations / supporting document shall be provided by OEM
xvii. All associated controls and monitoring system linked with the package or equipment shall be provided by
the bidder. Offered system control and monitoring shall be in compliance with BV UMS notation.
xviii. The proper working of these control system shall be ensured and proven during the commissioning and sea
trials.
xix. The bidder should ensure that the supplied machinery is compatible for the package system and confirming
to the technical specification of the vessel. Any additional material/equipment support shall be arranged by
the bidder at no extra cost.
xx. The bidder should provide adequate training for the vessel crew and maintenance team at no extra cost for
operation and maintenance. The detailed plan should be submitted within 90 days after award of the
contract.
xxi. All the required signals for connecting to voyage data recorder (VDR) shall be provided from applicable
systems.
xxii. Bidder shall supply 02 hardcopies and 01 soft copy (in pdf format) of operators/ parts/ maintenance/
workshop manual in English Language. The pdf version shall be fully bookmarked and indexed. Installation
manual shall be supplied after placement of PO.
xxiii. Power supply onboard the ship is
a. 415V, 3 Phase, 50Hz earthed neutral
b. and 240V, 1 Phase, 50Hz
c. 24V DC isolated ground
xxiv. Equipment enclosures suitable for installed location as follows:
- Exposed to weather – watertight, IP 56, stainless steel
- Foredeck Store - watertight, IP 56, stainless steel
- Machinery space, B/T Compartment– drip proof, IP22
- Cable Glands – IP68
xxv. Bidder shall provider suitable arrangement for facilitating dead ship start arrangement in compliance with the
classification and statutory requirements.

1. Proposal includes commitment of applicable Class product certificate/ Type approval certificate for the
equipment as per Attachment 1
2. Warranty not less than 1 year and supply of applicable spare parts
3. Compliance with the technical specification and the Maker List (In the event of variance, technical
justification shall be accepted by ADC, as well as Vessel Owner).
4. Proposal includes the supply of equipment, commissioning, attending sea trial and providing adequate
training to vessel crew and vessel maintenance team.
