Re: Company Performance Analysis

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to evaluate the performance of your company data that

allows me to provide suggestions that will help you increase the profits. The below analysis and

suggestions are based on the 12 months provided by your company. The suggestions and

analysis provided below is only based on this data. That being the case, my suggestions should

be modified by your knowledge of business realities and your market. Please let me know if you

have any questions concerning the analysis or the suggestions provided that I can answer.

Graphs were used to analyze the data since it permits one to represent information in a better

organized matter. It also provides a quick access to data reports, a clear data analysis and allows

a quick update. The graph gives us a lot of information. By clicking on the line, you can see the

exact sales during that particular month. This was done manually.
ANALYSIS 1: Sales performance by month

Analysis

During the first four months of the year the sales performance is stable, in May it starts to

Recommendation
The company should set a baseline for sales performance and require that all salespersons stay

within that baseline in order to maintain their position. Also, the company might encourage the

salespersons by providing sales bonuses. This might motivate salespersons to do a better

performance. I would also recommend the company to provide frequent and appropriate sales

and customer service training for all those sales representatives to ensure the customer

satisfaction.
ANALYSIS 2: What product sells the most
Analysis
The product that most sells are the beverages followed by condiments and grains/cereal. The

least sold product is seafood along with others. Dairy products, produce and meat/poultry are on

the average of products sold.

Recommendation
The company should increase meat/poultry sales since it is the product that provides more profit.

Also, the company should provide an incentive to salesperson that achieve an increase in the

meat/poultry sales. At the same time the company should give appropriate training to all the

salesperson to promote other products that can replace the most sold product in case this one

becomes scarce, the price increases a lot or the demand decreases, another product can take the

place of the first one on sales.

SELF ASSESSMENT
In completing the Excel project, I was able to categorize, examine, explain, deduce and discover

a plan of action. Visualizing the RGV inc. performance analysis through graphs, I was able to

fast recognize highest and lowest peaks in salesman performance by month in a year period, as

well as obtaining a product most sold by the company.

By obtaining this vital information from the data, I was able to provide suggestions to the

company on what areas needed attention. As a result, this information will help the company to

create a plan of action and positively share the information with each manager and employee in

an effort to follow the same path in reaching the business strategic goal.

By presenting my findings through graphs it enabled me and the company to make a data driven

decision based on facts and not gut feelings or emotions.

I was able to identify and understand variation at the same time, as well as being assertive in my

recommendation based off the evidence. I was learning how to interpret the data.

To conclude, to be a successful business organization, it is of the utmost importance to always

look at the data first to de able to identify if the company’s and employee’s performance is in

line with the strategic plan. This is a tool that companies can use to increase its sales and impact

the organization in a positive way.
