RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES:
This event entitled “Mathematics for Everyone: Adapting, Connecting, Enjoying” is an

online and physical activity that celebrates the International Mathematics Month. This activity aims
to develop and recognize the exceptional skills of students, being able to adapt, interact, socialize
and promote interdependence.
EXPECTED OUTPUT
At the end of the program the participants are expected to:
 Increase the students understanding of and appreciation for Mathematics.

 Develop students interests and positive attitude in Mathematics.
 Improve students' ability to express mathematical ideas precisely.

GENERAL MECHANICS:
 The participant will have to create a poem containing 5 lines in one stanza.
 First line: three words
Second line: one word
Third line: four words
Fourth line: one word
Fifth line: five words
The judges will chose the top three best poems. The winners will receive a P200.00 worth
of gift check.
PASS THE BRUSH CHALLENGE

GENERAL MECHANICS
 Participant will portray a mathematician and their famous quote.
 The participant will upload a creative transformation tiktok video/video clip from
normal look to mathematician look.
 Video requirement: 3 minutes at most.
 Each entry may consist of 1 to 3 participants.
 The judges will choose the best three videos. The winner will receive a P200 worth of
gift check.
SONG WRITING CONTEST: π s of Music
GENERAL MECHANICS
 The participant can choose the tune of their favorite song.
 The lyrics of the song should be entirely original and math-related and does not
contain any rude, indecent or offensive words.
 The participants should perform the song, which should be 2-3 minutes long.
 The judges will choose the best song composition. The winner will receive P300
worth of gift check.

FACE TO FACE ACTIVITY

GENERAL MECHANICS
 Each team consists of 2 members. The activity is limited to 20 participants only.
 One member will be the guesser and the other one is the only allowed to respond and guess the
word.
 The guesser will respond with an answer yes, no or maybe.
 Each team will be given 2 minutes to guess the word.
 5 seconds will be added as a penalty if the responder will respond other word than yes, no or
maybe.
 There will be an elimination round where in two groups that has the shortest time will proceed to
the final round.
 The team with the shortest time wins. The winner will receive a P1000 worth of gift check.
MATH QUIZ BEE
GENERAL MECHANICS
 The quiz bee consists of three rounds: EASY, AVERAGE and DIFFICULT.
 Below are the corresponding number items, points, and time allotment for answering each
item:
EASY: 15 items, 1 point each, 30 seconds per number
AVERAGE: 10 items, 3 points each, 1 minute per number
DIFFICULT: 5 items, 5 points each, 1 minute per number
 The team that has the highest points will be the winner.
 The winning team will receive P1000 worth of gift certificate
