Quadratic Functions Review
By the end of this lesson you will hopefully be refreshed a little bit
Learning on the basics of quadratic functions and see how what we have
Goal learned so far fits in with our grade 10 knowledge.

Forms of Quadratic Functions
The Graphs of Quadratic Functions:
(In General)
• Any xvalue can be in input value for a
quadratic function.
• Only some yvalues can be output values
for a quadratic function. The parabola will
have a lower bound or an upper bound. It
is not possible to have both!
• The graphs of polynomial functions do not
have any horizontal or vertical asymptotes

The Graphs of Quadratic Functions:
(Continued)
The leading coefficient (the one beside x2) will determine
the direction of opening of the parabola.
If the leading coefficient is positive
then there will be a minimum
If the leading coefficient is negative
then there will be a maximum
