Cool britannia

Cool Britannia is a term that has been used by some means to describe the contemporary culture
of the United Kingdom. This term was coined in the 1990s and is linked to Tony Blair's "New
Labor" government. As you can see in a simple pun with the title of the patriotic song "Rule
Britannia".

This phrase "Cool Britannia" was first used in 1967 as the title of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band
song, but there is no direct connection between that use and the modern coinage of the term.
Possibly this happened thanks to the description of London in Newsweek magazine in late 1996
where it is compared as "the coolest capital city on the planet". After this publication, the
respective phrase was widely accepted and widely used in the media and in advertising of the
time. The election of the Blair government in 1997 on a modernization platform and with Blair as a
prime minister who transmitted a certain youth in his style, a situation that obviously triggered
this whole process.

The phrase evidently maintains some real meaning and "Cool Britannia" refers to a transitional
fashion or slogan of a culture of the London of the 90s, where soundtracks such as: Oasis, Blur,

around a billion people learning and studying this wonderful language in some way.

Definitely English has changed the world in terms of communication and nowadays a practical
knowledge of English is essential in many important professions as well as in many different fields.
Thanks to this, it is possible that more than a billion people around the world speak basically this
language and thanks to this diffusion it is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

The World Cup

Nothing more impressive than the World Cup commonly called the Soccer World Cup. This is an
international level competition which is contested by the different men's soccer teams that make
up the International Federation of Associated Soccer (FIFA). This is a championship that takes
place every 4-year cycle and that throughout history has only been stopped in 1942 and 1946 due
to the Second World War.
Currently this championship consists of a format made up of 32 teams that will compete closely
for the title of world champion. This competition is held at the host headquarters and maintains
an estimated duration of one month. It has a previous qualifying phase that manages to reach the
three-year period and of course this phase is used to determine exactly which teams will integrate
or qualify to be playing the tournament together with the host nation or nations.

It is noteworthy that this is the most watched and followed event in the world and where
countless records have been broken in terms of sales and the number of people who manage to
see each of the games played.

Until today, 19 World Cup tournaments have been held and this has been won by 8 different
teams of different nationalities, clearly highlighting this Brazil with its 5 championships “it is also
the only team that has managed to participate in all the tournaments played ”and then Italy with 4
tournaments won as well as Germany with 3 titles, followed by Argentina and Uruguay with a
couple of each one.

It is noteworthy that the next World Cup will be organized by Qatar for the year 2022 and it is
expected that, like the previous ones, this event can break all sales records as well as become the

La Copa Mundial

Nada más impresionante que la Copa del Mundo comúnmente llamada Copa Mundial de Fútbol.
Esta es una competencia de nivel internacional que es disputada por los diferentes equipos de
fútbol masculino que componen la Federación Internacional de Fútbol Asociado (FIFA). Este es un
campeonato que tiene lugar cada ciclo de 4 años y que a lo largo de la historia solo se detuvo en
1942 y 1946 debido a la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Actualmente este campeonato consiste en un formato compuesto por 32 equipos que competirán
estrechamente por el título de campeón mundial. Esta competencia se lleva a cabo en la sede
central y mantiene una duración estimada de un mes. Tiene una fase previa de clasificación que
logra alcanzar el período de tres años y, por supuesto, esta fase se utiliza para determinar
exactamente qué equipos se integrarán o calificarán para jugar el torneo junto con la nación o

Es de destacar que este es el evento más visto y seguido en el mundo y donde se han batido
