Chapter I
Background of Study

This chapter presents the background of the study, related literature that support the

study, research gap and purpose of the study.

Introduction

In new and improve society where everything changes from one place to

another. A hairdresser major evolved and become highest rate of experience from zero

to countable and more percentage of rates on a choosing field. In Philippines they

create a project that will recognize the talent and the ability of hairdresser community

like, Tesda this government project help to enhance the characteristics of a good

hairdresser to get their silver lining on the end of a track field. The Phenomenological

study on selected teacher in particular school has examined, and entertain to one

person to another. Here in Marikina one and only Tech voc school, is MNHS that have

four strand to offer a lot of students for their pathways and one of those is hairdressing

major.

A rate of percentage show that there’s a lot of students in MNHS choose to be

part or hairdresser field that want to reconnect and know the experience of a selected

and choosing teacher on MNHS, when it comes to experience the stand out is the

demonstrator that also known as teacher on a hairdresser field. Approximately same

learning and guidance each of the student, the teacher show how important to apply
perseverance to our personality, not just to experience things that unplanned. But to

delivered yourself toward to your inspirational listener, nowadays teachers not just teach

they inspired and that, they show proved that your silver lining not just at the end of the

track field it’s on the cloud.

In reality a teacher of hairdressing in MNHS once said success is a process,

experience is the best teacher. Hairdresser has a 3 level that to develop your

characteristics and skills. School is a place of learning and understanding like the

teacher school which is the MNHS, lergros de rumigny open a school field that can help

to discover, learn and understand hairdressing and anything that is connected to it. This

shown that in a new society of technology hairdressing apply and appreciate by a rate

of people. It’s all start on the French and because of learning and improving its travel to

Professional teacher on the Philippines that proved that the cloud of hairdressing has

their own silver lining.

Statement of the Problem

The research study aims to explore lived experiences of the selected hairdresser

in Malanday National High School

Specifically in terms of:

1. What are the things that the selected teacher considers in success?

2. What are the challenging experience of being a hairdresser teacher?

3. What are the characteristics of a hairdresser teacher?


Significant of the Study

Is not just to spots information or a single word that connect to it but to add and

contribute importance information that is state in facts, enhance and profs that a person

need to know and it will also provide benefits to the following.

Teachers:

Enable to learn, to get additional information and to identify the needs of

hairdresser and especially to know the experience of the co-teacher on this strand.

Student:

This study is very important and significant to the student of malanday national

high school. This can help them understand and enable to open there mind if there

going to take this kind of career path in the future.

School Administration

This would be beneficial to our school administration and also for them to know

the importance of doing this kind of research and to identify, to know the role of the

school administration and how they can help and solve a problem that involves to this

strand.

Hairdresser learners

They will able to know the unexpected or expected things, that they will

encounter along the way and also to give them idea that is very important. Especially to

there work ground.

Enable to get more ideas and information about research that we are conducting

and analyzing and to gained knowledge and deepen our understanding about the topic

and the choosing teacher on hairdressing strand in Malanday National High School.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

The study is conducted in school year 2022-2023 in major field of hairdressing in

malanday national high school.

The responded which is the selected teacher on mnhs in senior high school from

grade 11-12 that teach and demonstrate their learners and share their story. This will

not include and involve junior high school students and teacher and the personal or

confidential story of a choosing teacher in mnhs.

Definition of terms

Silver lining: something good that can be found in a bad situation. Strive to inspire us.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE STUDIES
This chapter offers the important literature and studies that the researcher examined
and explores in hairdressing the significance of the current research and investigation.
The researcher organized the literature by theme.

METHODOLOGY
This chapter presented the process and methods employed this research,
including the research design, instruments and techniques gathering information,
respondents of the study, and the research administration.

Qualitative research
The research used the qualitative approach to gather a better and rich
understanding of the Lived Experience Senior Teacher on Hairdressing. A multiple
phenomenology guided this qualitative research study. This method used participant
view and experiences to analyze data without number. Qualitative data can be written,
filmed, or recorded. This study explored the thoughts, feelings and experience of senior
hairdressing teacher who share their live experience, MNHS (2023) pronouncement
was very crucial. Responses to their face to face interview were transcribed and
examined.

Research Design

This study utilized a phenomenology qualitative research design described as


‘’an approach for exploring and understanding the experience of selected teacher or
group ascribe to a social or human experience’’ (MNHS, 2000). This particular research
design aided the research to have an in depth knowledge about the lived experience of
senior strand teacher in hairdressing. Similarly, the nature of the identified research
questions justified the use of qualitative research design as they all require exploring
phenomena like feeling, experience or processes, which are hard to extract or learn
about through conventional research methods.

Sampling Procedure

Purposive sampling was used to study the lived experience of the selected teacher
on mnhs. Purposive sampling refers to a group of non-probability sampling techniques
in which units are selected because they have characteristics that you need in your
sample.
The researcher selected four cosmetologist and one hairdressing strand teacher
on phenomenological study using purposive sampling.

Data Gathering Procedure

This multiple phenomenology study used a qualitative research design to collect


and gather the in-depth experiences of one Hairdressing strand and teacher.
Relationship and connections must be established and attached with trust and honesty
when conduction face to face interview. To gather related data, the researcher initially
sent a letter of request to the School Administration office of Malanday National High
School seeking permission to conduct the study. After the request was approved, the
researcher will meet permit to conduct a study to the principals.

Source of Data

Multiple forms of data were collected through interviews, observations, documents,


collecting and others and visuals materials to provide an in-depth understanding of the
case. An in-depth interview was used as a data collection instrument to investigate and
explore the lived experience of participants teacher by utilizing phenomenology study. In
this study, five participants were interviewed. The researcher face to face met the
participants using camera, microphone and interview script. After permission had been
sought and granted, photos and videos of interview were taken during the face to face
interview.

Data Analysis

Thematic analysis was used to make sense of the data collected to understand the
experience of senior hairdressing strand teacher in phenomenology study. This data
analysis technique aims to identify themes through interesting or important patterns in
the data. The researcher examined the data collected following the thematic analysis
procedure proposed by Greek ancient and legros de rumigny (2006) describes this
framework for thematic analysis as the ‘’most influential approach’’ as it’’ offers a clear
and usable approach ‘’to doing this form of data analysis’’.
