Concept:
What is respiratory system and its function?
The respiratory system is the network of organs and tissues that help you breathe. It
includes your airways, lungs, and blood vessels. respiratory system. These parts work
together to move oxygen throughout the body and clean out waste gases like carbon
dioxide.
What are the 7 organs of respiratory system?
Respiratory system
Nose.
Mouth.
Throat (pharynx)
Voice box (larynx)
Windpipe (trachea)
Large airways (bronchi)
Small airways (bronchioles)
Lungs.
What are the 4 main functions of the respiratory system?
The functions of the respiratory system include gas exchange, acid-base balance,
phonation, pulmonary defense and metabolism, and the handling of bioactive materials.
What are the three major organs?
Vital organs
Brain. The brain is the body's control center.
Heart. The heart is the most important organ of the circulatory system, which helps
deliver blood to the body.
Lungs. The lungs work with the heart to oxygenate blood.
Liver. The liver is the most important organ of the metabolic system.
Kidneys.
