Organization

To correctly install the device without accident, pleas e read this manual carefully
before the installation.

There are seven chapters and an appendix in this manual. They are arranged as
follows:

Chapter 1 Product Overview Introduces the hardware features and available


interface modules of the SessionEngine2200.

Chapter 2 Pre-Installation Preparations Covers the preparation before installation


of the SessionEngine2200.

Chapter 3 Installation Presents the SessionEngine2200 hardware installation, such
as the power, auxiliary/console port cables connection.

Chapter 4 Booting the SessionEngine2200 Deals with the boot and configuration
procedure of the S essionEngine2200. In addition, it also elaborates the system file
initialization, setup configuration and software upgrade.

Chapter 5 Hardware Maintenance Provides hardware maintenance methods, for


example, how to replac e the power module, fan, processing board or SDRAM.

Chapter 6 Troubleshooting Det ails the common fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
of the SessionEngine2200.

III. GUI conventions

Convention Description

Button names are inside angle brackets. For example, click

IV. Keyboard operation

Format Description
Press the key with the key name inside angle brackets. For
<Key>
example, <Enter>, < Tab>, <Backspace>, or <A>.

Press the keys concurrently. For example, <Ctrl+Alt+A>


<Key1+Key2>
means the three keys should be pressed conc urrently.

Press the keys in turn. For example, <Alt, A> means the
