B. INTRODUCTION AND THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY


The Purpose of this study is to identify the relation between the hours of sleep of the students
and it's impact on their academic performance.

C. STATISTICAL HYPOTHESES
Null Hypothesis: There is a significant correlation between sleeping 8 or more hours per day
and academic performance for Stem’s Students.

Alternative Hypothesis: There is no significant correlation between sleeping 8 or more hours per
day and academic performance for Stem’s Students.

D. QUESTIONNAIR

 Sleeping 8 or more hours a day makes me feel refreshed and energized to be


academically active.
 I noticed to get higher grades when I am engaging in sleeping 8 hours or more a day.
 Sleeping 8 hours a day decreases my stress levels.
 I can work more productively when I sleep 8 or more than 8 hours of sleep.
 Sleeping 8 hours a day increases my self-reliance and positively impact to my study.
 I can focus more on my classes when I sleep 8 hours a day.
 I can exert more effort when I sleep 8 hours a day.
 I can listen attentively in class when I sleep for 8 hours.
 I often find myself dozing off or feeling sleepy in class due to lack of sleep.
 My academic performance is better when I am able to get 8 or more than 8 hours of
sleep.

E. DATA AND STATISTICS USED


This study will conduct a face-to-face survey. The questionnaire consists 10 questions. All of
these are composed to acquire the necessary data for answering the research questions. The
data collected from the respondents will be kept safe and confidential. To analyze the data
gathered for this quantitative, correlational-survey study for the variables SLEEPING 8 OR
MORE HOURS PER DAY and ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
likert Five-Point Scale level of agreement and frequency with interpretations will be utilized.
