Sec II : ENGINEERING PACKAGE

1 FACILITY LIST

Engineering package is developed for following listed Facilities.

1 Piping
Process piping along with inline piping items, as indicated in P&IDs, is required to be
replaced. For details of the piping to be replaced, refer clause no 4 in Sec I, design basis.

2 Electrical
There are 9 Motor Operated Valves (MOVs) which will require 9 nos of starter feeders.
Electrical power to these MOVs shall be fed from existing MCC no. D2 MCC LPG-I
located in LPG-I Substation. This MCC is having various spare feeders and vacant
compartments. The CONTRACTOR shall check the availability of feeders which can be
used for these 9 nos. MOVs.

However, if spare feeders are not sufficient (less than 9 nos) then CONTRACTOR can
check possibility to utilize vacant compartments for feeding power to MOVs.
CONTRACTOR shall modify existing spare feeders & also provide necessary
components for starter feeders in vacant compartments of existing MCC D2 LPG-I, in
order to achieve 9 nos of starters for MOVs.

Local Start/stop Push button for MOVs shall be located outside dyke wall of Intermediate
Tank (IM) Area. The scope shall also include power & control cabling along with cable
tray from existing D2 MCC LPG-I to respective MOVs and push button station.

Electrical system including MOVs, Local push button stations shall be earthed at two
points by using Galvanised Iron (GI) strip/conductor of adequate size. Contractor shall
provide 50mm x 6mm thick GI earth bus of length 200mm. The earth bus shall be located
near push button support post. The MOVs and push button station shall be connected to
the earth bus. The earth bus in turn shall be connected to existing plant earth grid at
minimum two points.

Disconnection of cables from the existing actuators shall be under the scope of the
contractor.

Supply, installation. Testing & commissioning of actuators is included in the scope of the
contractor. Installation of MOV actuators shall be carried out under the supervision of
OEM of the actuator.

Sec II : ENGINEERING PACKAGE

Dismantling of any electrical systems such as lighting poles, earthing pits, required for
installation of the new system shall be restored by the contractor.

3 Instrumentation

CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for installation & supply of MOV, TRV, cables &
cable tray, as well as integration & modification in existing control system.

For MOVs CONTRACTOR shall supply new I/O card.

CONTRACTOR shall collect the necessary details of existing control system & cable
route during site survey. Installation & supply of required cables & cable tray is
CONTRACTORs responsibility.

Software modification in existing control system is in ONGC scope, whereas

CONTRACTOR to take care of necessary hardware required for new valves.
CONTRACTOR shall lay cable & cable tray from field to panel with proper termination.

6 Civil and Structural

Civil & structural as listed below

Above given facility list is indicative and may not be exhaustive. Intension is to give general idea
to the bidder. However CONTRACTOR shall carry out the survey and conform the same. If any
additional item required, the CONTRACTOR shall supply it at no cost to ONGC.
