Elements of the Photo Camera

The cameras have evolved a lot over the years, from their origins to the most modern. Despite this, there are
some elements that remain constant from its origins and without which we would not understand the current
photography.

These basic parts of the camera are the viewfinder, the diaphragm and the shutter. All elements that we will
see later in detail. In addition to these, the camera is made up of other basic parts that we will focus on now,
such as the camera body, the shutter and the viewfinder.

As we said, the camera is an element formed mainly by a light-tight box. That box is what is known as the
camera body.

In SLR cameras, the camera body is attached to the lens or lens through a bayonet system.

The camera body is the one that will determine the shape of the camera and is one of the elements that has
undergone the most evolution over time. These have been manufactured in different materials, from plastic,
to aluminum, even to wood and have had and are infinite in size. Its weight and manageability will
determine, today, the quality of the camera.
