ABOUT THE PROJECT

The packshot photography assignment was based off the previous endangered animal packaging
assignment, the packshot photography is a type of commercial photography that focuses on the
products packaging.

The tools used for the assignment were, Paper for concept designing, camera, props such as a plastic
children’s beach toys and beach sand. The software used for the assignment were, Photoshop,
illustrator, and InDesign.

The first part of the assignment required me to create different product photography concepts in studio
pack shot of my WWF Socks packaging advertisement that targets my audience.

I was required to take 5 solo photos of the WWF Socks packaging followed by two photos of the WWF
Socks with all props from the chosen concepts, one photo had to be portrait and another had to be
landscape.

Once all photos are completed, I was required to use Adobe Photoshop to fix lighting and I had to create
a reflection for the solo packaging photos. In Photoshop I fixed the two photos of the WWF Socks with
all props, by adding backgrounds and bringing my full concept to life.

The fourth part of the assignment was placing all the photos in InDesign, where the layout had to be
sorted. The two photos of the WWF Socks with all props had to be placed in the following templates,
double magazine Ad, Billboard as outdoor marketing Ad and an Instagram Feed advert.
