I. Context and Rationale
Punctuality is one of the virtues beyond reproach. Much of the time and

wealth will be saved if this virtue will be carried out to the system of every

responsible citizen. Punctuality will encompass all of the positive action in all

aspects. Though it was less appreciated in other situations like productivity

against punctuality, none the less, it is still very vital in situations that needed it

most.

This study will determine the factors affecting students in their daily routine

during school days. Always and oftentimes being tardy in the flag ceremony, in

attending classes after recess time in the morning and afternoon class sessions

and during the first period in the afternoon class session. There are observed

instances that during their transfer of room in their specialization subjects and

other activities that needs outdoor activities, they are behind schedule in

attending to it.

There was an indication that student had significantly disliked the subjects

that might be the reason for leniency in their study. The aversion towards the

matter is merely on the subject and has nothing to do with the Subject Teacher.

Moreover, there are students who fairly rated their teacher that might affect their

performance at school.

II. Research Questions

This study aim to answer the following questions:

1. Why do student engage in tardiness when it comes to go to school early?

2. How to avoid this kind of situation?

a. Participants and/or other Sources of Data and Information

The study will be conducted at the Senator Ninoy Aquino National High School

involving 10 student only from the grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences. These

students are currently and officially enrolled in the school for the academic year of

2022-2023.

This study will focus only at the students of Senator Ninoy Aquino National High
School who having a lot of numbers in attendance that being tardiness. (2) boys and (8)
girls , they will be the respondents of this study.
The teachers will also play a role, especially the adviser as they will be the one

with direct contact to the participants. They will help to observe and monitor the

students and also help to observe the health of those students, class performance,

attitude inside the classroom, and their social interaction.

b. Data Gathering Methods

Personality as a ‘’pattern of habits, attitudes and traits that determine an individual’s

characteristics, behaviour and traits he further describes personality as ‘’the dynamic

organization within the individual of those psychological systems that determine his

characteristics behaviour and thoughts’’ (Gordon Allport 1990).
