Title of Assignment: Plot the visualization graph using aesthetics, labels and
titles, categories as colors.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aim:
Plot the visualization graph using aesthetics, labels and titles, categories as colors.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem Statement:

1.Down load a dataset (not used for any other assignment)

2. Describe the dataset. Point out important observations noted by you.
3. Draw scatter plot and line graph with temporal category data on X axis.
4. Use analytics like average, trendline, forecast etc.
5. Create Polar areas chart.
6. Describe how polar area chart is different from other temporal visualizations.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dataset:
https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/bravehart101/sample-supermarket-dataset

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background Information:

Dataset:

1. Here I used the dataset of Sample store sales which is provided on Kaggle.
2. This Dataset Contains the profit sales quantity and much more insights which help in
plotting the graphs.
3. It is a Detailed Dataset about Customer Id, Name so it is easy to keep insights of the
customer which is buying anything from store.

Scatter Plot:
A scatter chart, also called a scatter plot, is a chart that shows the relationship between two
variables. They are an incredibly powerful chart type, allowing viewers to immediately
understand a relationship or trend, which would be impossible to see in almost any other form.
Types of Scatter Plot-
• Scatter Plot for Positive Correlation.
• Scatter Plot for Negative Correlation.
• Scatter Plot for Null Correlation.

Uses:
Scatter plots' primary uses are to observe and show relationships between two numeric
variables. The dots in a scatter plot not only report the values of individual data points, but also
patterns when the data are taken as a whole. Identification of correlational relationships are
common with scatter plots.

Polar/Radar Chart:

A radar chart is a graphical method of displaying multivariate data in the form of a two -
dimensional chart of three or more quantitative variables represented on axes starting from the
same point. The relative position and angle of the axes is typically uninformative, but various
heuristics, such as algorithms that plot data as the maximal total area, can be applied to sort
the variables (axes) into relative positions that reveal distinct correlations, trade -offs, and a
multitude of other comparative measures.

Radar charts are primarily suited for strikingly showing outliers and commonality, or when one
chart is greater in every variable than another, and primarily used for ordinal measurements –
where each variable corresponds to "better" in some respect, and all variables on the same
scale.
Q) How Radar/Polar charts Different from other visualizations?
Ans: The most significant advantage of using a radar chart is that outliers are immediately
visible. Any metric or variable that is very different from the others on the chart or in a set of
charts is very obvious. Commonalities are also easy to assess, particularly if they are plotted on
the same chart.
Radar charts (also known as spider charts, polar charts, web charts, or star plots) are a way to
visualize multivariate data. They are used to plot one or more groups of values over multiple
common variables.

Visualizations:

• Observation:

We created a Scatter Plot Chart first to understand the profit gained in the no of sales of different
Sub Categories. We highlighted them with the various color for easy understanding. And also
provide them different shapes for main category

• Observation:

Here we plot a Polar/Radar Chart which gives us a clear analysis of the calculated fields we
created. Here we can get the analysis of the no of sales and profit earn in one single year
2017 that we done with the help of the filter. Every point on the graphs highlights the profit
earn as per the sales.

Advantages:

1. A Polar Graph can help you to display insights into different data points on a radial axis.
The visualization design is often used to compare multivariate data sets. You can plot
the chart in a Cartesian plane where the x-axis is wrapped around the perimeter.
2. It Helps to give detailed analysis over the area. So a company can see its profits and loss
in the vast area or can check their insights in the particular area for betterment.
3. Helps to set clear priorities and directions so that the most critical tasks are cleared out
of the way first.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conclusion :
Here we learned how to plot the Polar Area Chart/Radar Chart. We also plot the Scatter
plot chart which is also widely in the world for better data analysis. So I can conclude that
I Successfully implemented the both charts and also discussed on the various
observations we learned from the plots and also discussed the advantages, uses of both
the charts and also discussed why polar/radar charts are different from the other charts.
