Reply speech (opposition) 1st motion

Thank you Miss Chairperson,

We have come to the crucial phase of the debate. We have come to

the end of the journey of both sides to prove their points. We, the proposition
team were the one who understand and answering the motion very well. We
the opposition has shown to the house that the unemployment allowances
should not be given to unemployed Malaysia citizen.

Our first speaker talked about the first point that by giving
unemployment allowances will lead to dependency .People who receive
employment allowance may become too dependent on it and are less
motivated to find a job. They tend to not looking for job as they already in their
comfort zone of not working but still having income. That is one of the
possible downsides of providing employment allowance. A long-term reliance
on unemployment benefits can make people feel too comfortable and less
motivated to seek employment, which could further contribute to the potential
problem of unemployment.
We also proved to the house that by giving unemployment allowances,
a lot will cost for the nation and will lead to national debt. Unemployment
allowances do come with costs for the government. When providing financial
support to individuals who are unemployed, the government needs to allocate
funds from its budget. The magnitude of these costs depends on various
factors, such as the number of individuals receiving benefits, the duration of
their unemployment, and the level of financial assistance provided. During
economic downturns or periods of high unemployment rates, the costs of
unemployment allowances can indeed increase significantly as more people
become eligible for benefits. This can strain government budgets and lead to
increased public spending or potential borrowing.
Our second speaker has proved our second point on frauds of
information that might happen when the citizen are trying to fulfilled the
requirements set by the government in order to apply for the allowances.
Fraudulent activities related to applying for unemployment allowances can
occur, and it's an issue that governments and authorities take seriously.
Instances of information fraud can involve individuals providing false or
misleading information when applying for benefits, such as misrepresenting
their employment status or income.

We have proved that unemployment allowances would only bring

problems to the nation than to solve them.. Hence, we have shown to the
house the bad side and possible problems and consequences that might
occur by giving out the unemployment allowances to the citizen.

From the government side, they failed million times to prove their
points. They said that (1)
_________________________________________________ However, this
point is very weak because
__________________________________________.
They also said (2)
______________________________________________, but as a matter of
fact _________________________________________________.
Their third point is (3)
_____________________________________________ but somehow
_______________________________________________________.

To sum up, we managed to deny the motion with no doubt.

Therefore, I would like to firmly re-state that “This House believes that
unemployment allowances should not be given to the Malaysian citizen.
Thank you.
