Francis: Good morning, Talavenians! And good morning to you, Your Highness Armeloid.

Armeloid: Good morning, as well, my prince and to our fellow Talavenians. It is very nice to see all of you
in different costumes.
Francis: It is indeed nice to see different kinds of characters this morning. We feel like we are in a movie
or in a book. But the question is, are we all ready?
Armeloid: That’s right. Talavenians. Are you ready!!!!!!!!!!??
Francis: All right, seems like everyone’s ready. On that note, I would like everyone to please stand for
the invocation and please remain standing for the singing of the national anthem and the city hymn.

Armeloid: You may now take your seats. To formally open our program this morning, let us welcome
with a round of applause our very hardworking and friendly school principal, Mr. Apolinario Bistis Jr.

Francis: Thank you for that wonderful message, Sir Bistis. And now…. since today is the culmination of
our celebration of the Reading Month, let us now hear some words of enlightenment about reading
from our very own beautiful English Teacher, Ms. Euphrosyne Chyne D. Lagahit. A round of applause,
please.

Armeloid: That was very educational, Ma’am Chin. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about reading.
At this juncture, let us all witness the highlight of this event: learners from all grade levels will showcase
their unique and amazing book character-inspired costumes in a segment we call….

Armeloid: Wow! That is an amazing display of different book character-inspired costumes.

Francis: I agree with you there, Your Highness. That is definitely a sight to behold. On that note, we are
now going to proceed to the presentation of the 10 best character impersonators.

Armeloid: That was a feast for the eyes! I’m sure our Talavenians are having a really good time right

Armeloid: That was deafening! My prince sure knows how to hype up a crowd. Well, without further
ado, let us continue on with our show. Now, lend us your ears for a very wonderful presentation. Please
welcome on stage the selected Grade 9 students for their choral reading.

Francis: Thank you for that wonderful and also educational performance, Grade 9.

Armeloid: I concur, my prince. I love both the performance and the message of what they read.
Francis: In that case, let us be more educated. Put your thinking caps on, because up next will be a trivia
segment about the Functions of Books presented to us by the selected Grade 8 students.

Armeloid: Thank you for sharing that knowledge, Grade 8 students. Truly, this has been very
educational. Don’t you agree, my prince?

Francis: I do, Your Highness. Who’d have thought that we can still learn a lot from books in this age of
technology?

Armeloid: I know, right? But this month has not just been all about reading because yesterday we
witnessed our fellow Talavenians showcase their writing prowess during the Essay Writing and Poem
Writing Competition.

Francis: Wow! Talavenians are very talented. And among the talented, are the gifted ones. Your
Highness, do the honors of announcing the winners of our Poem Writing Competition.
