SHS ENGLISH MONTH CELEBRATION EMCEE SCRIPT

JOHN: Ladies and gents, esteemed guests, faculty members, and our dear
students, a warm welcome to all of you on this momentous occasion. Today,
we gather to celebrate the culmination of our English Month with a theme
“PAGBASA: Pag-asa sa Matatag na Kinabukasan sa Pamamagitan ng
Pagpapahalaga sa Panitikan ng Pilipinas.”

TORRES: Throughout this month, we have immersed ourselves in the world of


Philippine literature, exploring its boundless realms of imagination, creativity,
and expression. The senior high school students immersed themselves in a
whirlwind of practice and preparation in declamation contest, verse choir and
book character presentation. Today, we will be witnessing the talents and
creativity of the senior high students of the Tatak H.I.

JOHN: The English language has served as a bridge connecting cultures, fostering
communication, and igniting the flames of knowledge. It has empowered
voices, challenged perspectives, and inspired countless individuals to pursue
their dreams.

TORRES: To formally commence our program, everyone is requested to rise for the
invocation to be followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem,
and H.I. Hymn.

JOHN: At this point, let us welcome on stage our ever-supportive and indefatigable
school principal, Sir Jose Freddie M. Mocon, to deliver his welcome remarks.

TORRES: Moving on, to introduce to us the board of judges and present to the criteria
for judging, let us welcome Sir Albert Villanueva.

Thank you, Sir Albert, for the clear presentation of the criteria.
And now, let us proceed with the program proper.
JOHN: And now, let us now witness the captivating performances of our
declamation contestants with the piece “(Who to be Blame) by (author)”
Thank you, declamation contestants.
TORRES: At this point, let us proceed with the presentation of our dear students in
their Verse Choir with their piece “Desiderata” by Max Erhmann and
“Desiderata” as transliterated in Filipino by Benilda Santos.
Thank you, dear students.
JOHN: Moving on, let us welcome again Sir Albert Villanueva to read to us the
criteria for judging for the Book Character.
TORRES: Are you ready? At this point of time, let us all witness our beloved Senior
High School students as they present their bests in wearing their favorite
book characters.

JOHN: At this time, who will be the top 20 book characters? The judges have
decided already. we will announce the Top 20 students who have showcased
their book characters. Four students will be hailed from each section to be
included in the Top 20

TORRES: While our board of adjudicators are deciding who will be, let us be
entertained by an intermission number by one of our Grade 11 students, Miss

Thank you, Miss Arian, Now, we already have in our hands, the results of the
top 20. Who do you think will be the finalists?
JOHN: In no particular order, our top 10 are (read the results of Top 10).
Congratulations to our Top 10 and to the rest of you who did not make it to
the final cut, still congratulations.
JOHN: At this point, may we request Sir Jose Freddie M. Mocon, and Ma’am Judy
Mae Navarro to come up on stage to give the Certificate of Appreciation to
our external judges.

our ever-supportive Academic Coordinator, Ma’am Judy Mae Navarro.
