Jericho: Good evening …. ladies and gentlemen! Good evening, Sir Elton.

Elton: Good evening, too, Sir Jericho! You look so stunning tonight.

Jericho: Thankyou sir and you also look so gorgeous in time for this occasion.

Elton: Well…. There are one hundred and one reasons of getting dressed up elegantly and
ravishingly tonight.

Jericho: You bet, sir. Tonight, is one of the highlights of Malimpin NHS cocurricular events in
the pantheon of social graces & gregariousness! I am Jericho Vargas.

Elton: And I am Elton John Pilar.

BOTH: WELCOME TO THE MNHS Gala Night 2023

Jericho: There are no adjectives we can use how awful and how unnatural our distance
learning is, with no social gatherings, no co-curricular activities, no face-to-face
classes and graduations and definitely no Gala night.

Elton: But tonight, after three years of Hiatus, we are all gathered here to celebrate our
camaraderie and our much-anticipated Junior and Senior Ball.

Jericho: The much-awaited social gathering of the junior and senior students of our school
as they are poised for take-off to the world of fashion, fad & craze!

Elton: And without further ado…to kick the ball rolling, let’s paint the town with the colorful
suits and gowns for the grand entrance of juniors and seniors as they take a walk of
fame.

Presentation of Prom Attendees.

- Guest speaker and School Head
- MNHS Faculty and PTA
- Juniors and seniors

Jericho: Let’s give them a resonating applause!

Elton : And… that wraps up our version of “Walk of Fame”. You guys are so hip and fabulous.

Jericho: And to formally commence this event, please rise and feel a few moments of solemnity
for an invocation through audio visual presentation

Elton: Please remain standing and imbibe among ourselves the virtue of nationalism &
patriotism through the singing of Philippine National Anthem and the singing of our Pangasinan
Hymn through our audio visual presentation.

Jericho: You may now be seated.

Jericho: I believe that the secrets behind this significant event are the teachers who have
rendered their invaluable service and shared their ideas and wisdom to their students.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome and listen to the opening remarks to be given to us
by our hardworking school head, Sir Ferdinand R. Balaoing. Let us give him a resounding
applause.:

• Welcome Address Sir Nanding

Elton: Thank you very much Sir for your inspiring message to all the attendees tonight. May your
words of wisdom be our moving spirit as we enjoy the night.
(Acknowledgement of guests, Judges, PTA and Stakeholders)

Jericho: We are pleased that our very special guest will join us tonight as we celebrate our Gala
night and share some thoughts and inspirations with our students.

Elton: That’s right! And without further ado, may we call on Teacher Jaybe M. Movilla to
introduce our Keynote Speaker.

(Introduction of the Parent Speaker)

(Speech of the Keynote Speaker)

Jericho: Thankyou Ma’am for a very inspiring message.

Elton: Indeed! It has been our pleasure to listen to your fruitful words and wisdom.
Now, we acknowledge your invaluable service as our parent speaker for tonight.

Jericho: Allow me to read the citation of this…..

Elton: And now to render us a dance presentation, let's put our hands together for the Grade
9 Students. Let us all welcome them with a resounding applause!
(Intermission Number)

Jericho: You bet! That was a marvelous dance! Now, I believe that everyone Is energized
enough and is ready for the dance floor.
Elton: You’re right partner, Even I, I was motivated enough to show-off my skill.

Jericho: Alright, I’ll be looking forward to that sir Elton. By the way, Sir, may I ask you, what
do you think is the essence of this event?

Elton: : Well partner… in my own angle of vision, every JS Prom signifies the celebration of
awards and achievements of our senior students and these legacies should be handed over
to the deserving and trustworthy inheritors, The junior students!

Jericho: Very well said partner! Aside from that, all the scholastic emblems held by seniors for
one school year should be passed to their honorable recipients----those symbols of academic
victories, co-curricular triumphs and team-building upheavals.

Jericho: One of the important essences of this event is the significance of the celebration of
awards and achievements of our Senior students who will be graduating and proceeding to
their last year in Senior High School few months from now.

Elton: The participation of our Junior students signifies hope that even when the Senior
students moved to the next stage of their lives, their link will not be broken. Hence,
this will be manifested through the handling and acceptance of the Key of Responsibility
and the lighting of the Candle of Wisdom.

Jericho: At this juncture, let’s now move on to the bequeathal ceremony.

(Entrance of our Juniors and seniors) (Grade 9 – Grade 12

Jericho: Our turnover ceremony give stress to a cache of accomplishments of the Student
Council in various programs and projects. Towards the end of this School year, the SC has
left no stones unturned in empowering the student body and in serving the Malimpians in
every step of the way.

Elton: And such odyssey of service and leadership is about to end….to turn the hourglass
upside down for the new breed of student-leaders in the service of the Malimpians. And to
make it happen, may we hand in the microphones to the predecessor and the successor of
Malimpin National High school leadership by example….
Jericho: To pass the key of responsibility, may we call on our SSC SSC President Sandara May F.
Ibasitas.

Elton: And to receive the key of responsibility, let us all welcome our junior student leaders Seth
Espanol and Myra Jane Magno. Let’s give them a nice big hand!

Key of Responsibilities

Jericho: Thank you our Student Leaders. We’re more than just halfway for this turnover
stuff. Furthermore, no JS Prom is considered memorable in the absence of candle-lighting
ceremony. Such ceremony symbolizes the hand-over of the candles to the next bearers so
as to lead & guide our school and its stakeholders in reaching their dreams and aspirations.

Elton: The flame atop of every paraffin elucidates the road to success of the outgoing seniors
in the next chapter of their academic career. At this point, let’s move onward and go
forward to the Candle-Lighting Ceremony.

• Candle-Lighting Ceremony

Jericho: Thank you guys for participating in that ceremony. I am keeping my fingers crossed
that our Seniors will be successful in whatever chosen field they will be undertaking in the
near future.

Elton: And to our juniors or should I say incoming seniors, may you fulfill noble noble
obligations to our school in general and to your schoolmates in particular for the next
academic year.

Jericho: One of the most-awaited parts of this event is the traditional Rigodon and cotillion
de honor that serves as the prelude to the dancing portion of the Prom.

Elton: And to showcase the gracefulness and the inclination of the Malimpians tonight, let’s
now welcome the Our Juniors and Seniors in their traditional Rigodon and Cotillion de honor.
Let’s give them a big hand with grace and poise!
• Rigodon and Cotillion De Honor

Jericho: Thank you, rigodon and cotillion de honor dancers for your awe-inspiring
performance, of course personally trained by my partner here, Sir Elton. You guys almost
moved heaven and earth in dancing!

Elton: Thank you sir Jericho. That gracefulness won’t be possible without your help and the
help of our advisers, Sir Andrew B. Aguilo, Ma’am Virgie De Guzman, Ma’am Desiree T.
Labrador and Sir Jaybe M. Movilla.

Jericho: And speaking of giving credits, we will not miss this opportunity to thank the
scaffolding behind this event.

Elton: That’s right partner, let us also acknowledge the efforts of our hardworking and
dedicated teachers in making this event possible:

Committees
Sponsors
PTA

Jericho: Parents serve as the first teachers of their kids during the early years. The
responsibility of teaching doesn't end when a child starts going to school. It is the parent's
job to show how exciting and useful learning can be. It is such an honor to work with our PTA
officials of this year.

Elton: To give us the PTA message, may we call on our hardworking PTA President, as we
often say, the women with the golden hands, as she always makes the impossible, possible.
Let’s all have our PTA President, MRS. Delia C. Dulay.

Jericho: Thank you so much ma’am Delia for that very wonderful message. Indeed…..(extract
some messages from PTA president).

Jericho: And to our Junios and Seniors, we challenge you to soar high in all aspects but to
keep you both feet on the ground despite of meritorious achievements. These are your
gargantuan roles as would-be seniors!
Elton: There you have it! All the nuggets of wisdom has been poured and I could really
imagine the bright future of our juniors and seniors.

Jericho: Your road to success will always be under construction. But, with your innate
aptitude coupled with great attitude, you can shape up your altitude with accuracy &
fondness. Good luck to the members of the Graduating Seniors.

Jericho: We’re almost done with the second part of this program. I am kinda dead-eager to
the next part of the program. Young ladies and gents…. let’s be in the know about our first
dance partners for this evening.

Elton: So, I think partner, we should not keep their heels cool and let us now announce their
first dance.

(First Romantic Dance) 5 – 10 minutes

Jericho: Good evening once again, we would like to interrupt this dance party for a very
special announcement.

Elton: While we were having fun throughout the night, our distinguished Board of Judges
started to pick their choices for this year’s Gala King & Queen.

Julius: They say that beauty is

relative. What may be beautiful to
me may not be beautiful for you,
or the
other way around……That’s why
we have with us our panel of
judges who have an eye for
beauty
Jericho: They say that beauty is relative. What may be beautiful to me may not be beautiful
for you, or the other way around……That’s why we have with us our panel of judges who
have an eye for beauty.

Elton: At this juncture, let us get to know the members of the board of judges and the
criteria of judging.

Read Criteria and Introduce Judges.

Jericho: There you have it ladies and Gentlemen, our panel of judges for tonight.

Elton: And to test more our dancing shoes’ strength and endurance….

Jericho: And get into the dance to the ultimate & bring down the house, we are now signing
off for a while….

Elton: For us to cut a mean rug & shake our bodies. In short, to dance the night away! Guys
& gals, let’s get ready because it’s party-party time!

• Dance….Dance…Dance

Jericho: And we have now the results!

Announcement of Top 30 (15 girls and 15 boys)
