SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
Read, analyze, and study
Function:
• We use the Simple Present to talk about things in general:
EXAMPLE: The earth goes around the sun.

• We use the Simple Present to say that something happens all the time in the present (routines):
EXAMPLE: I play football every weekend.

• We use the Simple Present to say a general true:


EXAMPLE: Fire is hot.
