LinkedIn Approaching Guide

You’ve done the prospecting on LinkedIn, now it’s the time to approach these
prospects.

Before you do, remember - we aren’t pitching our service nor the idea of working
together just yet. We are just pitching the insane value of the Strategy call, making it
as irresistible as possible.

In this worksheet, I’ll walk through exactly how to approach these prospects.

Keys to Success

1. Diagnose first

We are not going for the sale straight out the bat. We are first diagnosing their
situation, then we pitch.

2. Make it look like a casual chat

What do chats with friends look like? I’ll tell you what they don’t look like - big
copy/paste paragraphs that sell from the get go. Yet most agency owners do that.

They are short text bubbles with genuine empathy, and they build on the responses
of the person you’re speaking to. That’s how an effective sales chat looks too!

Structure of the conversation

Step 1: Connection note

You have connected with them on LinkedIn using a note, giving them props on
their business and asserting your expertise in the space too.

Step 2: Where they are currently at

Your goal now should be to diagnose where they are at with their business and how
everything is going.

Step 3: Where they are trying to get to

The goal now is to get a feel for where they would like to get to (could be
revenue goal, customers, launch a new product etc) and what they feel they
would need to do to get there or what the biggest roadblock is right now.

Step 4: Pitch the call

The goal now is to tell them that you and the team would love to bring them
clarity / give them a plan of action to move forward and see if you could help.
Then pitch the goal.

topics like these is key! Always great connecting with positive like-minded people.

Me: Of course! I think the TikToks you guys are posting are very smart haha.

Me: How are they working out?

Prospect: Yeah, we started doing those recently and many customers have come to

know the brand because of them, so I guess good!

Me: that’s amazing - TikTok has so much potential for new brand exposure and new
customers.

Me: So I’m guessing you guys have been growing more than ever as of late? You
must be happy 🚀
Prospect: Yes, it’s been going well but there’s still a lot of room for growth.

Me: What’s the type of growth you had in mind?

Doesn’t respond. I’m posting content regardless. I followed up in 2 days.

Me: ? 😄
Prospect: I think if we add a few more products to the line we could probably
double our revenue

Me: that’s amazing! And you already have a launch strategy for those?

Prospect: Not yet. We are busy with Q4 planning right now.

Me: I feel you. Q4 is definitely a crazy season for E-commerce.

Me: Would love to see if me and the team can help bring you more clarity on a
launch and growth strategy for those new products and a plan of attack moving
forward with strategies with which we’ve helped other brands like X in the space
generate an extra $300,000/month.

Me: I know you’re busy so quick 20-min. No obligation. Are you free this week?

Doesn’t respond. I’m posting content regardless. I followed up in 2 days.

Prospect: I could do Friday.

Prospect: just want to know first, is this a sales call?

Me: the reason why we do these calls is because once prospects hear our strategies
and processes, they ask to know more about what we do in the wellness space. If
that’s the case, we then see if we could help them.

Me: but first and foremost, it’s a diagnosis matched with strategies.

Prospect: Sounds good. Just booked.

Me: Great - see you then!
