Consider a 4 by 3 meter inner box (h=3m), centrally located in a
7 by 6 meter outer box (h=6m).
The larger box is located in an outdoor stationary environment
at 0 ° C.
The sides of the outer box consist of a cavity wall (from inside to
outside):
• 190mm ceramic building block (density 1650 kg/m3),
• 300 mm KNAUF CAVITEC
7m 4m
• medium ventilated air cavity with a width of 50mm
• 90 mm ceramic building block (density 1800 kg/m3)
The sides of the inner box consist of a construction with a total
resistance of 1 m2K/W, excluding surface coefficients.

cloudiness 0.8), the solar radiation incident on the wall
equals 1200 W/m2.
