THE PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN EDUKASYON SA

PAGPAPAKATAO (E.S.P.) IN FIRST QUARTER OF GRADE

10-CAMIA STUDENTS IN ALITAGTAG NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL S.Y. 2022-2023

I. Introduction
Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao is one of the subjects the students
didn't find it difficult. Most of the students are not failing on this
subject. But, in Junior High School, E.S.P lessons are very different
compare to the lessons way back in Elementary. Although there's a
differences, students still managed the lessons and got a passing
grades. Many students loved this subject because E.S.P is a one of a
subject that will help to improve the learning about the true essence
of life.

The statement of Billy Graham, “If wealth is lost, nothing is lost, If

health is lost, something is lost, when a character is lost, all is lost.”
That is why E.S.P is a part of Education because it will be a
instrument for students to develop their characters. By this subject,
students will surely learn a moral values inside or outside of the
school. E.S.P is a subject that loved by the students since day one.
Everyone see it as an silver lining to enhance the behavior and
mindset of every students.

Education should promote ethics, morals, and principles that

will surely help a learner in their lifes as they grow day by day. Some
values are important for students to learn before facing the true life.
E.SP aims to promote students’ moral development and character
formation. According to Gazi Md. Abdur Rashid, “Moral values have
to be taught to the students because moral values have a significant
on the students achievement ans behavior.” Teaching moral values
is whatever schools do to influence students on how they will think,
feel, and act regarding to personal issues of right and wrong. It was
believed that, Education wasn't only to make people smart but also
to make them a good person.
II. Statement of the problem :

This research is studied to find out the Performance of

Students in E.S.P in the Firsr Quarter of Grade 10-Camia
Students in Alitagtag National High School and to calculate the
below and above average grades.

It is specifically looked up to answer the following :

1. What is the profile of the Grade 10-Camia students in terms of

: a. Barangay

b. Grades

2. Which Barangay got the highest average in E.S.P?

3. What is the average grade of Grade 10-Camia students in E.S.P?

4. How many students belong to :

a. Above Average

b. Below Average

5. What grades of the students belong to :

a. D4

b. Q3
