ANALYTICAL ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF GRADE 11 STUDENTS IN

GIGAQUIT NATIONAL SCHOOL OF HOME INDUSTRIES

Education is generally regarded as a necessary and essential requirement for

human development. It is central to socioeconomic and technological advancements, and it is

critical to self-generating process of positive transformation of modern society. Education is

partially about primary socialization, partly about the process of imparting knowledge for

progress and development, both of the individual and group levels. Education is not just about

literacy and enlightenment. It is about the value formation, value generation and orientation.

Thus, education is a complete process of setting the context for societal self-

definition and reproduction. In Gigaquit National School of Home Industries, the rate of

students academic performance has increasing and highly improving, still are even more job

worthy as you compare to the previous of Fade 11 students of Gigaquit National School of

Home Industries. But even though Gigaquit National School of Home Industries has high

performance in terms of this factors, still there are problems in terms of academic performance,

and one of this is not having a good study habit. This paper is a analytical study of academic

performance of Grade 11 students of GNSHI. It has discovered that few of the students who

were admitted into the school, for the attainment of a deploma or a degree, were unable to

meet the requirements to be able to graduate an time. A situation where some students have to

study longer than two years term than any other normal students. This study will seek further

elaboration and more solution to the problem, which seek for the factors that way be
associated with the students performance, and also looks into the ways and means by which

the performance

In Gigaquit National School of Home Industries, the educators are trying to

identify the problems of the students towards their academic performance. This study will try to

identify those problem that affecting their academic performances, us a young researcher, I will

analytically understand those problem affecting to this.

In this paper, we would like to investigate if:

• A student’s sex had any effect on their academic performance towards getting a degree.

• A student’s age could affect their attaining a high level of academic performance.

• There relationship between the population of students and their performance.

To have a good academic performance, the students must commit seriously to

the craft you have choice, not just the educator itself but mostly the students. To attain good

study habit the student must commit into this. As James A. Marzur (2000) said, thee are many

reason why student don't have a good performance rate in school, he pointed that those

student that don't that have poor performance are those students that don't study regular. In

this modern age, us I observe, there are many variables affecting in a good performance rate,

such as computer games, parental support, attitude toward study etc..

 As a student, there are many ways to improve your performance rate, reading

books is one of the best way to improve your skills and it can build more understanding in any

topic. In this way they could enhance their study habits and become well in school. The

educators have also a large role in helping the students to develop their study habits. It is also the

educator’s responsibility to motivate the learners do their home works with a sense of

accomplishment. Wayne Wrightsone (2002) said that it is that there are students who have

greater ability to learn than others, greater capabilities to understand and yet may still be poor

students as a result of poor study habits. Without study habits, a student’s natural ability to learn

will not be enough to help students perform well in school.

The teacher must know that his/her students are diverse and has different strengths and

weaknesses, the teacher must formulate a strategy in the way he/she give lessons must be

appropriate to the student’s level of learning.

Improving a students performance rate must start in students itself, if he\she

don't have the guts to improve him self, us my opinion their is nothing else you can do about it.

Students must attain more seriousness about, because us I observe, few of the students stop to go

to school because of this problem. Going to school is an easy task but submitting those projects

and all those is the hardest, but with a good parental guidance and perseverance, you can

accomplish this all

 In my own understanding, a student’s sex doesn't had any effect on academic

performance towards getting a degree. Us I observed, its up to you if you are welling to fit to the

class or not. In this new era, this generation had practice the term gender equality, what boys

can do can be also done by girls. Just fit in to the class and it do the work, unless you are been

bullied by them. Bullying is one of the most causing factor student student don't have a good

performance rate and I now the pain of it. A student’s age could affect their attaining a high

level of academic performance, and I highly agree with it, most of this student are being shy

because of it and one of the causing factor why they are bullied. They are shy to express their

Ideas in the crowd of student, because they would think that its late for them to do that and

fear of being criticized by others. There relationship between the population of students and

their performance is also affecting in a student's performance, but as l have said, the way to

solve this is to fit in with other student, just being Friendly to them and a good parental

guidance from the educator.

Gigaquit National School of Home Industries had come this far by putting the

right rules and best educator into plays. Grade 11 students of Gigaquit National School of Home

Industries is in a good hands us of now, hopefully it will continues to improve the way of

students thinks,
