a) PVT for monitoring recorded (one reading each  Survey time optimization
b) Return flow Sensor connection). If O/P During procedure to be applied.
c) MWT recording connection report to DSV.  RIH Speed : 15 STD’s /hr
 Secondary Barrier (Tested  No stoppage in OH W/O
BOP, FOSV, Gray VLV ) Pumping.
 Updated kill sheet.  Stock of inflow to be on site for
 MAASP sheet to be posted. any stuck.
 PVT alarms setting +/- 1 m3.  Dehydration line to be tested
 Dump & dilute under driller and ready for line up in case of
permission and highlighted severe losses.
on pason screen.  Discuss with WE and DS if back
reaming required in High DLS
based on well trajectory.
 Motor procedures to be
discussed with Driller by DD.

Note:

 Total losses highly expected through this section

 Prepare 105 joints 9 5/8 casing – drift and strap
 Prepare Stage tool, Short Pup jt required for handling.
 Directional drilling program as per DD.
 Manage water levels in waste and water pits.

12¼” HOLE SECTION ± 1262 m TD.

1. Install the CHH and torque up to 8000 ft\lbs. Valve handles to be straight &
facing the cat walk.
2. Nipple up the 13-5/8” BOP & choke manifold equipment.
3. Function test the BOP from all remote stations.
4. Draw down test.
5. Pressure test the Koomey control lines to 3000psi. – Off line
4

6. Pressure test Choke manifold VLVs & 5” FOSV & Grey valve to 2800kpa low &
21000Kpa high for 5-10min. These tests to be done off line while tripping in
the hole.
7. Pressure test CHH connection and SOV’s to 2800kpa low & 10500kpa high for
5-10 min against the blind shear rams. (Only one test to integrity test
connections IF valves have been tested).
8. Install PTT ( check seal condition ) and P/T BOP connection to 2800 kpa low for
5 min, 21000 kpa high for 10 min.
9. Mud pump pulsation dampeners to be checked & pressure to be set at 800psi
(5600Kpa). Recommended is 1/3RD of the working pressure.
10.SIDPP & SICP gauges and sensors to be checked on the remote choke & the
choke manifold while the test plug is in the well and pressured up. All gauges
must read the same. Remote choke position sensor to be functional and
working.
11.Pick up & make up the 8” Mud motor MWD BHA as per Sperry. Use 12-1/4”
TCI bit Type: SR12R & S/N: 13612867 with (3 X 20/32nd jets. Up to DD & MWD).

12. Flush Bit from inside with High pressure gun confirm no debris inside.
13.Use Safety clamp on BHA.
14.DD to Check motor bearing and MWD offset and report to DSV.
15.Function / surface test the MWD BHA.
16.Trip in the hole with the 12-1/4” Tag cement / plugs & record the depth to
DSV’s. (Break circulation before tagging cement so the jets don’t get plugged).
17.Hold trip drill. Driller to shut in well & line-up choke. Record SEC time.
4

18.Drill out float collar & Shoe and shoe track with 3-5 ton WOB, 30 surface RPM,
2.6m3/min flow rate set torque limit to 7000 ftlb.
19.Drill / clean out rat hole.
20.Drill / Slide 12-1/4” hole section as per the Sperry DD / MWD requirements to
+/- 1262 m. Geologist & DD will advise DSV of TD Sperry Version 1.7.
 Reduce connection time and never leave pipe stationary more than connection time.
 Apply Recommended survey Procedures.
 Trip sheet to be used on all trips.
 In case of high risk of sink hole control ROP on Pason to avoid pushing string through Sink
hole.
 Full parameters sheet to be recorded (one reading each connection). Example, WOB- Flow
rate- Torque- String RPM - SPP & ROP. If O/P During connection report to DSV.
 No stoppage in OH W/O Pumping
1. KOP is approximately 800 meters.

2. Above is the bit operating parameters.

4

3. Drillers & DD’s are to find the optimum WOB, Flow & RPM parameters to
ensure optimum ROP is reached.
Note the bit parameters must be reduced before drilling the RUS formation.
Expected Top of RUS at 697 MBDF.
Maximum WOB to be used at all times for high ROP in the vertical section.
4. If any tight hole is encountered, inform the DSV and the connection will be
worked until the connection if free.
5. Slow pump rates to be done every 150 meters drilled or the mud weight
changes. Kill sheets to be updated at the same time.
6. All well trajectory changes must be approved with a MOC & the DSV’s must
know about the directional plan change. No directional change unless the DSV
approves the change. Latest trajectory version is 1.7.
7. Directional drillers to inform the DSV If the well trajectory is away from the
plan.
8. DROPS inspections to be done during the 12-1/4” section if vibration is
excessive.
9. Manipulate Drilling parameters to avoid severe vibrations.
10.Once final TD has been confirmed by the geologist & DD & the casing shoe
can be set 5-8 meters TVD inside the Shammar formation.
11.Pump 2 x 4m3 hivis sweep & circulate hole clean.
12.Pump & spot weighted mud pill to cover Shammer formation. Mud engineer
will, advice on the volume to pump.
13.Monitor losses for 15 min.
14.POOH to surface.
15.MAX O/P is 10 Kdan over on the weight indicator.
16.When over pull is encountered, go back down to make sure it has been
cleared. Back ream if required.
17.Trip sheets to be done accurately and handed daily to DSV
18.Lay down the Directional BHA & drilling jars.
19.Remove the wear bushing.
20.Make up the washing tool & jet wash the well head casing hanger area.
21.Rig up CDS casing running tool. Function test all equipment.
Note:
Wear all PPE at all times, Follow JSA’s for operations & utilize the PTW for all jobs,
Isolations & confined spaces. TRIC cards & Hazard Observation cards to be used
every day by all personnel. Stop work authority to be encouraged. The 9
Halliburton life r6ules & 12 PDO life rules to be followed at all times.
