Valmet’s inclined slat conveyor offers cost-efficient transport of broke paper or
single bales in pulper feed applications. A wide range of options are available to
suit the specific requirements of your pulp receiving line.

Efficient broke paper transport
The slat conveyor (PFCS) primary use is for transport-
ing both bales and broke paper to a pulper with mini-
mal paper waste. The slats are mounted on chains,
forming a base to prevent the broke paper from falling
through. This conveyor can also transport single bales
weighing up to 333 kg to a pulper.
Designed for flexibility
To ensure the highest degree of flexible operation, the
conveyor is designed to handle different capacities,
pulp qualities, bale weights and bale dimensions as well
as various types of broke paper. The conveyor, which
operates at an incline of 25°, can be placed with the
PFCS-FVP
loading section at conveyor height or at floor level for
easy broke loading. Each variant is available in a large
number of different lengths to fit various pulper sizes.
Optimise your conveyor
There is a wide range of options, including a service
platform and loading borders, to ensure the conveyor
is fully configured to your needs. The slat conveyor can
also be equipped with a system for weight indication of
the conveyed material (PFCS-FVF and PFCS-PVP).
Safety features
The conveyors have sidewalls for maximum safety.
It is equipped with a rope pull safety switch running
along the whole conveyor length. When activated, this
safety switch will immediately stop the conveyor. The
chain-slat system is fully enclosed by the conveyor vat
and special designed safety guards to ensure highest
possible safty for the operators.
Valmet also offers a chain conveyor (PFCC), which is
specifically designed for transporting single bales in
pulper feed applications.
