DISCUSSION
The crops that are planted in agricultural fields receive their water,
nutrients, and structural support from the soil. It is one of the world's most
abundant natural resources. Crop cultivation, food production, and climate
change mitigation all rely heavily on soil. A soil's porosity must also be
determined in order to determine what percentage of the total soil volume is
made up of pore/air space.
CONCLUSION
After completing the task, I was able to become familiar with the
various techniques for calculating soil porosity and density. In addition to
understanding the significance of these soil's physical characteristics for
agriculture, I also determine on how to become familiar with the various soil
structures and their features.
This study aims to quantify the density of each type of soil and its
varied structural properties. Soil structure has a substantial impact on the
influence of texture on moisture and air linkages, plant nutrient availability,
microbial activity, and plant growth. The weight of soil particles per unit
volume excluding water is commonly stated in grams per cubic centimeter
and is used to measure soil density and porosity.
