Materials Needed • Empty Clear Plastic Water Bottle • Flower Seeds • Water to water plant • Soil • Scissors • Stapler with Staples • Coffee Filter • Heavy Duty Twine Step 1: Peel off the plastic if needed and cut the water bottle into two pieces Optional Step 2: If you would like to make your planter a hanging plant, cut a long piece of heavy-duty twine. Then take a stapler and staple one end of the twine to the top of the water bottle planter. Then staple the other end to the opposite side of the water bottle Step 3: Put a coffee filter in the top of the water bottle Step 4: Fill the top of the water bottle half with soil, lightly packing the soil into the bottle Step 5: Take the cap off the top water bottle piece. Some soil may fall out, that's okay!
Step 6: Plant seeds into the top half of the
water bottle by creating a thumb print to place the seeds Step 8: Cover the seeds with soil and water
Step 9: If you are using a hanging plant, hang
the plant up in a sunny spot. If not, make sure to place the seeds in a sunny spot. Don't forget to keep the soil moist!
