Getting rid of the fear of change

in 4 simple steps
Changes are necessary for every person — without it, we feel that we stand still and do not move
forward. If you cling to the past, you will not be able to achieve true happiness. A fear of change usually
prevents you from leaving a job that does not bring you joy, or moving to a new city that you have long
dreamed of, or starting your own business. Some people find it difficult to even change
their hair color or hairstyle. The good news is that you can deal with the fear of change
without much effort. Now, we will tell you how to do this.

Step 1. "Film"

Before you fell asleep, imagine that you will live your entire life as you live now.
Imagine yourself being an elderly person, as if you are scrolling a film. How do you
feel when you are watching the footage from this tape? Fear that you will waste
your life? Despair, sadness, regret? Or is it joy, peace of mind and satisfaction?
If your emotions are mostly negative, they are most likely present in your life
in the background all the time, but you are trying to hide them deep in your
consciousness. However, even from there, they can have a devastating effect on
you. Think about what is more frightening for you now — to stay in the routine or
to try to change your life and prepare for changes?

Step 2. "Meet yourself"

Try a little experiment with close friends and acquaintances. Give each participant
a piece of paper and ask them to write one positive characteristic they see in you.
You will get a list of your own virtues and will most likely be surprised how many
wonderful things people are seeing in you. This step is especially important for
those who doubt that they deserve a better life. Pin a list of your positive qualities
to the wall next to your workplace and re-read it every day. You will see how it will
boost your confidence, and the desire to move forward will appear on its own.

Step 3. "Laughter therapy"

We are afraid to try something new out of fear of being disappointed in it.
An unpleasant emotion can unsettle you, and in the eyes of others you will
look like a failure. However, inaction is not an option. Imagine your failure in
bright colors, bring the situation to the point of absurdity until you laugh,
and laugh at yourself. Do you think that you don’t have imagination? Watch a
high-quality comedy in which the characters constantly find themselves in
ridiculous situations. Put yourself in the place of these characters. Not from
a movie, but when you get fired from your job, kicked out of your home, end
up in a bad neighborhood, miss a plane or a train, fall into a pool in your best
evening dress, and so on. Agree, from the outside, these events look mostly
comical, not scary. Now, if you get into a bad situation, you can always distance
yourself from what is happening and find something to laugh about in any event.

Step 4. "Recharge"

Imagine that you are tied to the floor with two green ribbons — one from your feet,
the second from your spine. The ends of the ribbons go to the center of the Earth and
fill you with the energy of the entire planet. Your body is filled with power, you feel
that you can move mountains. At this point tell yourself: «I can really do anything», «I
deserve a better life», «I will achieve happiness», «I will definitely succeed». Run your
errands after you recharge with this energy. Do this step every time you feel down.
