INTRODUCTION TO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (IBM530)

ASSIGNMENT 3: INDIVIDUAL END CHAPTER EXERCISE
TOTAL MARKS: 10%

Students need to answer end of chapter questions. Marks are given based on the relevant and
rational answers. The questions are as following:

1. Discuss the arguments for and against globalization regarding jobs and income (Ch. 1:
Globalization)

2. Explain the three main legal systems, and for each, give an example of a country that uses
such a system. (Ch. 2: National Differences in Political Economy)

3. Differentiate between the terms culture, values, and norms. (Ch. 3: Culture)

4. Explain the four attributes advanced by Michael Porter (Ch. 4: International Trade Theory)

5. What are the principles political and economic arguments for government intervention into
international trade? (Ch.5: Political economy of international trade)

6. Describe exporting as a mode of entry. What are the advantages and disadvantages of
exporting? (Ch. 6: Entering foreign market)

Submission Date: SEMINAR 4 (25 June 2023)

Instructions:

Answer all questions. Answer in short-essay format. Number of words for each answer is around 40
to 100 words. Insert cover page (please refer Appendix 1)

All reports need to undergo similarity check (plagiarism) before submission.

Students need to submit the report using Google FORM (or email etc).
