Identification Points

 Outer cortex consists of renal corpuscles, sections of Proximal convoluted and distal
convuluted tubules.
 Inners medulla shows sections of collecting ducts and loop of Henle.

 Mucosa thrown into folds, lined by transitional epithelium.
 Star shaped lumen.
 Muscular layer shows inner longitudinal and outer circular arranged muscle fibers.
 Adventitia shows loose connective tissue and blood vessels.

 Lamina propria consists of loose connective tissue and blood vessels.
 Thick muscular wall made of three layers, inner and outer longitudinal and middle circular
layer.
 Serosa lined by flat squamous cells.
