The SSDC series is a high performance, intelligent Step-Servo system with multi-axes field bus control.
Enhancing a stepper motor with servo technology has created a product with exceptional features and broad
capability. It supports pulse/direction control, analog control and multiple field bus controls such as Modbus,
CANopen, SCL/eSCL commands, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT protocol. And the SSDC series also supports
the stand alone function(Q programmer) called by field bus control.

The Step-Servo motors provide precisely positioning to within ±1 count using high resolution encoder. In
order to adapt to different applications, we provide two kinds of encoder. 20000 counts/rev optical encoder,
4096 counts/rev magnetic encoder.

◇ Regeneration Clamp
P/N:RC880
When using a regulated power supply you may encounter a problem with regeneration. The kinetic energy
caused by regeneration is transferred back to the power supply. This can trip the over-voltage protection of a
switching power supply, causing it to shut down.
MOONS’ offers the RC880 “regeneration clamp”to solve this problem. If in doubt, use an RC880 for your
first installation. If the “Regen” LED on the RC880 never flashes, you don’t need the clamp.

In order to meet the diversified needs of different customers, MOONS not only introduced the SSDC03-
EC, SSDC06-EC, SSDC10-EC solutions, but also developed a direct Pin-Plug in the SSDC step servo
drive system EtherCAT version SSDC06-EC-H. The solution uses direct Pin-Plug connectors for more
convenience and flexibility. The SSDC06-EC-H is a member of the SSDC stepper servo series, with built-in
EtherCAT communication as a standard EtherCAT slave and supports CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE). And
it can be used with a variety of different size Step-Servo motors.
