Lab Assignment Objectives:

Students will be able to:
1. Perform the Density Balance Adjustment procedure on the C6000/C7000 with a spectrometer
and applicable software.
2. Understand the various steps involved for measuring and applying Density Balance data, as
well as, understanding the process for assigning the data to specific media.

Estimated Completion Time: 60 Minutes

Before you Begin:

 Load Ledger (11x17), 20 lb in Tray 2.
 Configure the paper settings according to the media type being used.

Precautions/Warnings:
 Use A3 / 11” x 17” sheets for chart output; use the paper specific to the job.
 There are several User’s Guides, as well as, ‘Help’ for the customer through the Control panel.
 This operation requires a spectrophotometer (i1-iSis or i1-Pro). We recommend the i1-iSis.
 Install and use the “Profile Maker Measure Tool” software.
 A dongle is required for using the application software; Profilemaker Pro 5 for advanced
software functions, but this lab should be able to be completed without it.
