Hello friends and teachers today I’m going to talk about one of the

most famous astronauts in the world, Alan Shepard. Alan Shepard was
an American astronaut naval aviator, test Piot and business man. but
before we get into the more eventful parts of his life I will tell you
about his early life instead. So Alan Shepard or Alan Bartlett Shepard jr.
was born November/18/1923 at 64 Hampstead road in derreynew
Hampshire to his Alan Bartlett Shepard sr. and his mom Pauline Renzo
Shepard. Sonner in his life his little sister was born too named Pauline.
He then soon entered a local primary school and after that WWII
broke out so his father transferred him to the Pinkertin academy
instead to join the army. Alan refused and instead went for the navy
and graduated. Soon he he took the Americans navy assignment test
and passed with flying colours however he was only 16 at the time
meaning that he was too young to join. Finally, at 1944 he served in the
US navy as he aboard a destroyer and became a test pilot. He served in
the US navy for another 30 years or so until left. However, during those
30 years he joined the astronaut programme and soon enough on May
5th 1961 he entered space being the first American and 2nd worldwide
person doing so. He achieved this feat when he was piloting the
Mercury spacecraft Freedom 7 on a 490-kilometer (300-mile), 15-
minute suborbital flight. He also got married to a girl named
Louise brewer in 1945 whom he met during his time in the
Pinkerton academy. And soon they had 3 children Juliana
Shepard, Alice Shepard and Laura Shepard.it was not until 10
years later at January 31st when he was sent to his second trip to
space as The commander of the Apollo14 where he stayed there
for about 10 days when he arrived back at earth at the 9th of
February. After that he became head of the astronaut office until
he retired and left NASA in 1974.after that he became a became
a business man in Texas. At July 211998 it was the day, when
