CLO2 – Report an analysis on an interactive multimedia product (A3, PLO7)
OUTCOME(S)
Critical analysis allows one to systematically evaluate a work's or product’s effectiveness including what
it does well and what it does poorly. It can be used to discuss a book, an article, a film or an application.
It allows you to understand and analyze the evidence, ideas and claims within your particular field of
study. Critical analysis allows you to have greater clarity on the issues and information you process.

1. Perform a critical analysis on one application: -


a. Which uses two different platforms, e.g. Mobile Applications (apps) and Website. 
b. It is a teaching and learning, for e.g. learning mathematics, learn how to swim or learn
how to make cookies.
c. The teaching and learning should include learning process, assessment to test users’
learning understanding and provides feedback to users’ scoring.
d. The analysis should be based on multimedia elements e.g. text, graphic, colour, audio,
video, animation, interface design and interaction.
e. It should not include application contents, systems and storage system.

2. In order to analyse, use the SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats)
Analysis method. 
Identify three (3) for each strength, weakness, opportunities and threats for each of the
application website and apps.
 Perform the comparison and determine which of the two the best platform for the

 Suggest three (3) improvements for each platform.

3. The content of the report is based on the following chapters:


a. 1.0 Objectives of the website/apps – what the user will learn. (10 lines)
b. 2.0 The target audience (eg. age / location/race). (10 lines)
c. 3.0 SWOT analysis. (5-6 pages)
d. 4.0 Best platform – include at least five (5) reasons. (10 lines)
e. 5.0 Improvements for each platform. – 3 for each platform
f. 6.0 Conclusion (half a page)
g. Start each chapter on a new page.

4. Report submission: -
SOFTCOPY (in Microsoft Word)
a. Cover page: - UniKL logo, Subject code & subject name, Assignment Title,
Students’ Id No, Semester Jan 2021
b. Use Font Arial (11) or Calibri (12), colour - black.
c. Use common page formatting. Include page numbers.
d. Submit softcopy (Id1_Id2_Assignment.doc) of your report to Assignment
folder by 26-03-2021 at 11.59pm.
