INTRODUCTION

Our heart felt gratitude goes to the Most High God for a successful completion of our 12 weeeks internship.

We also thank the management of MCHH especially the medical superintendent and the district director of
nursing services for granting us the opportunity to have my internship at the hospital and then also for their
support throughout the period of study.

Our innermost gratitude goes to the hospital public health nurse and the R.C.H in charge for their
teachings ,directives and guidance given me at the public health department.

This report outlines the main activities of our internship which was held at MCHH. The internship started
from 14th February to May 12th, 2023.The report gives much emphasis on the clinical experience we had in
the course of the study. It gives brief profile of the activities, competencies and skills that we built during the
internship at the public health unit.

The experiences gathered at the hospital has made me know that , public health nursing is mostly about
skills ,time ,cooperation and collaboration with others to be able to deliver effective and Efficiently.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Awareness creation on Family planning especially on the long term methods should be done more often,
therefore the need for health care providers to provide continuous education and demonstration to women
in their reproductive age.

To address the shortage of family planning commodities.

To keep up with the good customer services provided at the unit which will help attract new clients.
