Accept Jesus

Narrator Meet Mr Lewis. Mr Lewis is an IT assistant at a

successful company. He enjoys his job and it pays him
well. He has friends he enjoys spending time with, he
has a nice house, a car, a beautiful wife and children.
He is living a comfortable life. He donates food and
money to charity, whenever he sees a beggar on the
side of the road he gives him all the loose change in his
pocket. Mr Lewis is what you call a “good guy”. One
day he hears a knock on his door. It’s his Christian
neighbour Mrs Johnson with a track in her hand.

Mrs Johnson Good evening Mr Lewis how are you today?

Mr Lewis I am great thank you. What can I do for you? Do you

need some help with your groceries?

Mrs Johnson Oh no no, I have something for you. (hands him the
track). Mr Lewis do you know Jesus?

Mr Lewis Who?

Mrs Johnson Jesus, He came to this earth and died on the cross for
the sins of all mankind. He gave his life for us so we
could be saved and have everlasting life. All we have to
do is believe on Him, confess our sins and accept Him
as our Lord and Saviour. The Bible says in John
Chapter 3 verse 16: For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God
loves you, He sent his Son to die for you. It also says in
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. Mr Lewis, Except a man be born of
water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God. Now is the time for you to accept
Jesus
Mr Lewis Stop stop stop Mrs Johnson. I have heard these words
many times before. I really don’t need this Jesus in my
life at this point in time. I am happy and comfortable
just the way I am. I’m a good guy, I don’t steal, I don’t
drink or smoke I do so many good things for other
people, I don’t really need to accept Jesus. I am a good
person. Good people go to heaven when they die.

Mrs Johnson Actually they don’t sir.

Mr Lewis Whatever you say Mrs Johnson, whatever you say. (He
dismisses Mrs Johnson and closes the door).

Narrator Later that evening as Mr Lewis was finishing up his

work he fell asleep at his desk.
(Good people go to heaven when they die, I’m a good
person…..actually they don’t sir, Except a man be born
of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God ...Accept Jesus )

Narrator He woke up in a strange place. A place he had never

been before (hell)

Mr Lewis Where am I?

Voice You have been sent to hell

Mr Lewis What?! That cant be, I don’t belong here (fire burning,
people screaming)

Voice You actually do, while you were on earth you had the
opportunity many times to accept Jesus as your Lord
and Saviour but you didn’t. Even recently your
neighbour Mrs Johnson visited you and told you about
Jesus but you didn’t listen.
Mr Lewis But I didn’t think that was necessary. I was a good
person. I did so many good things in my life, I didn’t do
anything bad like other people who kill and steal. I
should be in heaven

Voice There is only one way to get to heaven. And that’s by

accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. John 3:5….
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Mr Lewis No help me, get me out of here I don’t want to be here

help me, noooooooooo

Mr Lewis wakes up at his desk sweating.

Mr Lewis What a nightmare!

He looks on his desk and sees the track entitled: “Accept Jesus” He
reaches for the phone and dials Mrs Johnson’s number, she answers

Mrs Johnson Hello?

Mr Lewis Mrs Johnson? I’m ready to accept Jesus

Narrator Mr Lewis was given another chance, would you be
