Throughout history, nations have cogitated to solve their issues by conflict and chaos.
Armed conflicts are not wise for a nation as it puts its people and its progression at risk, one of
these progressions is the school and educational systems. The system defines a countries future,
daily, these conflicts eradicate schools around the world and destroy the countries educational
infrastructure, some kids haven’t even gotten the chance to get a piece of education in decades
because of this chaos. Education is an important aspect of life, without it none can succeed,
children cannot follow this path. This also hurts them physically and psychologically in the
future as they develop different under these circumstances of war, us as delegations must find a
clear and swift solutions to this un raging crisis.

“We are witnessing the military occupation of schools which causes the campus to lose
civilian status, thus facing threats of attack as a lawful military target,” quoted the representative
of Nigeria, Tijjani Muhammad-Bande. He makes a valid point: it needs to be changed that
schools, which are meant to be safe for children and a place where they can study and feel
comfortable, are instead being turned into war zones and treated as arenas for combat. Many
organizations and countries have helped the movement of alleviating armed conflicts that affect
the education systems of nations, the United Nations made a program called the Safe Schools
Declaration which proved to be successful for countries as more than one hundred nations
signed, these nations had an overwhelming rate of children in schools learning again, but
nonetheless more actions like these must be taken.

The problem the Yemeni delegation is presently dealing with prevents kids from going to
school. Yemen is now engaged in a civil war that has been raging since 2015 between Saudi
Arabia and a terrorist group known as the Houthi. Due to this, schools have evolved into arenas
of conflict between opposing factions, and numerous instructors have even lost their lives while
fighting. The country is currently ruled by two opposing forces: the Yemeni government, led by
President Abd Rabbu Mansur Hadi, and the other, Houthi Ansar Allah who is the leader of the
terrorist group. As a result, parents must take their kids somewhere safe almost every month
because of the fighting. But the Yemeni delegation is prepared to offer suggestions and work
across borders to find solutions.

After reviewing the issue at hand, the Yemeni delegation has some further suggestions to
provide. Making peace with other nations or with terrorist organizations like those in Yemen is a
viable option that we should think about. However, creating more sophisticated sponsored
initiatives to assist urban nations in need with education can also enhance this development,
particularly when working in collaboration with international organizations. As some nations
have internal issues or issues with other nations, we also need to support each other's countries,
like the delegation from Yemen, by providing manpower so that the dispute can be resolved,
thank you.
