Base Quantities

other physical quantities.

Derived Quantities
A physical quantity that is derived by a combination of
base quantities. Can be done by multiplication, division or
both.
 Area (m²)
 Volume (m³)

Scalar Quantities
 Physical quantity that has only magnitude
e.g. Distance, speed, time, mass, energy
Vector Quantities
 Physical quantity that has both magnitude and
direction
e.g. Displacement, velocity, weight, force
