 O que é visco?
Visco é um sistema inovador (patenteado pela Behr) para
o arrefecimento dos radiadores e consequentemente dos motores
dos veículos. Cujo princípio de funcionamento se difere dos
eletro-ventiladores, devido ao aproveitamento da energia gerada
pelo motor e transmitida para a embreagem viscosa, através do
eixo virabrequim ou por transmissão por correias.
No Brasil sua grande aplicação se dá nos veículos que
possuem alto torque (caminhões, ônibus, caminhonetes). Porém
na Europa é muito aplicado nos carros de passeio, de alta
performance (BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, além de caminhonetes,
caminhões, ônibus)

 Princípio de funcionamento:

O visco é instalado na parte de trás do

radiador. Sua maior eficiência se deve ao
fato do Visco estar aproveitando a energia
do eixo fazendo com que a rotação seja
transferida para a embreagem viscosa do
sistema, e com o funcionamento do Visco
visando baixar gradativamente a
temperatura do motor veicular.
Adaptado à embreagem viscosa temos
uma hélice de material plástico que será o
maior contribuinte para o fluxo de ar.

 Princípio de funcionamento:

Após a troca térmica entre o ar

externo admitido e o radiador, o ar
quente atravessa as aletas do
radiador e se desloca para o Visco,
esse ar quente incide no bimetal
fazendo com ocorra no mesmo uma
deformação. Essa deformação fará
com que o pino de controle que está
ligado à válvula e ao bimetal, alivie a
pressão sob a válvula que está
vedando a passagem de silicone,
permitindo que o silicone saia do
reservatório e migre para o disco
primário.

 À medida que a temperatura do ar
que vem do radiador se eleva ocorre
gradativamente o movimento de abertura da
válvula, fazendo com que seja admitido mais e
mais silicone, e este ocupe por completo todas
as trilhas do disco primário resultando ao
Sistema Viscoso em um aumento gradativo de
torque até a abertura total da válvula, onde
então teremos a condição de torque máximo.
Chamamos esta operação de Acoplamento do
Sistema, pois devido à alta viscosidade do
silicone, o mesmo passa a desempenhar a
função de um conjunto unitário. O Visco
aumentará o fluxo de ar para o radiador,
proporcionando um maior arrefecimento,
fazendo com que o motor trabalhe em uma faixa
de temperatura segura.

 Hélices com interferências
• Na pá de hélice de nº 01,
podemos observar que
houve interferência externa,
o que gera perda da
garantia.

• Já a pá de hélice de nº02
2 não apresenta nenhum sinal
de interferência, portanto a
peça esta dentro da garantia.

 Parafusos com sinais de remoção
• Na figura de nº 01 o parafuso
apresenta a parte interna da “cabeça”
espanada, o que causa a perda da
garantia, para peças que sofreram 2
retrabalhos , o mesmo deve ter sido
autorizado pelo departamento de
Assistência Técnica e Engenharia da
Behr Brasil.

• Na figura de nº 02 o parafuso não

apresenta nenhum sinal de
interferência, portanto está na 1
garantia.

parte frontal das pás da
hélice, devido ao vazamento
de silicone, sujeira e poeira.

• Verificar se é possível
rotacionar (mover) a flange
hélice em ambos os sentidos
usando apenas uma pequena
força. Em caso positivo a
peça deve ser trocada em
regime de garantia,

Nota-se que há um grande acúmulo de sujeira na região do bimetal. Este fato ocasiona problemas de
funcionamento (acoplamento / desacoplamento) da embreagem viscosa. Esta peça nos foi devolvida em garantia
e após a limpeza do bimetal, o visco apresentou funcionamento dentro dos parâmetros especificados.

Obs.: A manutenção do sistema (limpeza) contribui para o bom funcionamento.
