Since I was invited for a peer observation by our Master Teacher in MAPEH 8 Mr.
Hilario D. Aparre, I did not hesitate to say yes.
I particularly found that his classroom management strategies were effective for his class as
the learners were very engaging. Th review of the previous lesson was through passing of
some questions inside the box and the learners enjoyed the activity. While the music played,
learners pass the ball around the class. When the music stops, the student with the box had to
answer a specific question. In other activity, the selected boys and girls were able to identify
the behavior and benefits in playing chess as they posted the strips of papers in the board.
During generalization, students were asked questions in a very engaging manner. The
students answered the questions correctly will be the one to choose for the next student to
answer.
I am very glad that I have witnessed and learned different strategies to make the class more
engaging for effective learning outcome. I am excited for my class as I will apply the things
I have learned during my peer observation.
Hilario D. Aparre
Master Teacher
As I reflect on observing Sir Aparre and his lesson plan, I appreciate the opportunity to learn from his
teaching strategies and approaches. Here are my thoughts and observations:
Clarity of Objectives: The teacher's lesson objectives were clearly stated and aligned with the learning
outcomes. The objectives provided a clear direction for the lesson and helped students understand what they
were expected to achieve.
Engaging Introduction: The teacher started the lesson with an engaging introduction that captured the
students' attention and generated interest in the topic. The introduction included a hook or an activity that
immediately hooked the students and set a positive tone for the rest of the lesson.
Progression and Organization: The lesson plan had a logical and well-structured progression. The activities
and concepts flowed seamlessly, building upon each other to facilitate student understanding. The
organization of the lesson plan helped students grasp the content and make connections between different
concepts.
Differentiation and Inclusion: The teacher demonstrated an awareness of the diverse needs and abilities of
the students. The lesson plan included strategies for differentiation, catering to different learning styles and
abilities. It fostered an inclusive learning environment where all students felt valued and supported.
Engagement Strategies: The teacher incorporated a variety of engaging instructional methods to actively
involve students in the lesson. The use of discussions, hands-on activities, and multimedia resources kept
students engaged and deepened their understanding of the subject matter. The strategies used helped make
the lesson interactive and promoted active participation.
Assessment and Feedback: The teacher effectively assessed students' learning during the lesson. They used
formative assessment techniques to gauge understanding and provided timely feedback to students. The
assessments were aligned with the objectives and provided valuable insights into students' progress.
