How bricks are produced?

The diagram illustrates how to manufacture bricks for the building industry. Overall, the whole
process takes 7 stages, beginning with the clay collection and ending with bricks which can be
delivered to the customers. Regarding to the first stage, clay is dug by big diggers. Then, they
are filtered by metal grid to reject/get rid of the oversized pieces and the qualified clay drops
on the large roller to go to the next stage. At the 3rd stage, the manufacturers mix clay with
sand and water to increase the adhesion. After the mixer is shaped by using wire cutter or
mould, they are moved to drying oven for 24 to 48 hours. At the 5 th stage, those bricks go
through a heat treatment process. First, they are fired in kiln at a moderate temperature from
200oC to 980oC, then the temperature increases higher from 870oC to 1300oC, ultimately, they
undergo cooling chamber for 48-72 hours. After being qualified bricks, they are packaged and
delivered to customers.
