1.0 PROCEDURES

1.1 Overview This work instruction is needed so that the correct steps can be taken to retrieve VDR data.

1. Ensure valves on MDO Pump #1 (V701 and V703) and MDO Pump #2 (V702 and V704) are
open

2. Ensure valve to incinerator, V705 is closed

3. Close valves 105F and 104F on DO line

4. Open DO inlet valves 106F, 108F, 110F for D/G#1, D/G#2 or D/G#3, depending which DG
need to be run on DO and close HFO inlet valves 111F, 112F, 113F for D/G31, D/G#2 or
D/G#3.

 Start MDO pump on manual and check if it builds up the pressure on pressure gauge in the
purifier room.

5. Take respective generator on LOCAL control and START. Generator is running on idle mode.

6. Check for leakages in the box. Check all other parameters and if everything is OK put back
the generator control to REMOTE. Now, running generator is on ECR control.

7. In ECR put the generator on load by pressing START button on the starting panel or SEMI
AUTO SYNCHRO START button on the DG synchro panel. Generator will synchronize
automatically.

8. After reasonable amount of time, change the FO return to DO service tank. Open DO return

 valves OD107F, OD109F, OD110F for the D/G#1, D/G#2 and D/G#3 respectively and close
HFO return valves 116F, 115F, 114F for D/G# 1, D/G#2 and D/G#3 respectively.
